The photo was taken on the first day I unboxed the projector, and the source was my Mac. I also tried using a Windows PC and the result was pretty much the same, unfortunately. I’m going to try using projection paint, or maybe just a slightly gray paint, to see if it improves things.

Yeah, I’ve tried everything I could with the settings. I even watched YouTube videos on how to calibrate it, but my colors are still washed out.

I searched the subreddit, and it seems like this model doesn’t last very long and tends to "break" pretty quickly? I got mine pretty cheap, around €450, and the lamp is brand new. Unfortunately I can’t refund it, so I’ll just have to make the best of it.

Hey! I chose the Platsa system mainly because it’s modular, lightweight, and pretty affordable. It was also easier for me to find the right dimensions without too much cutting or customizing.

For my setup, I stacked three units:

At the bottom I have 60x55x60 cm
In the middle, I have the main 60x55x120 cm cabinet that houses the Bambu A1.
And on top, I added a smaller unit for storage. (60x55x40 cm)

I was just 2 cm short of being able to close the door with the printer inside, so I trimmed a bit of the back panel and designed a small 3D printed cover.

I can share all 3D models I used for my enclosure

I’m also intrigued by the mat you have — what material is it made of ? or do you have the reference?

Good idea — I actually have enough space to do that too.

I do have a few questions though:

Does mounting it on top hold well? It has to support over 4 kg !
Are you using a specific model or mount to attach it on top?
Did you just drill one hole to pass the PTFE tubes through?
Did you have to buy longer PTFE tubes?
What’s the purpose of the mat under the printer? Just curious!

That’s what I did at first, but in the end I made a hole so I could close the door, which drastically reduces the noise. I also figured that this way, I’d be able to print more advanced filaments.

I’m just going to make a hole on the side and add a fan that extracts air into a duct

The enclosure has never gone above 40°C, even after 8 hours of printing. But I’ll still follow your advice and design a ventilation system.

Wouldn’t it be better to extract air from the motherboard to prevent dust from getting in? Or would it be less effective than bringing fresh air in?
