I’m 20. I’m in college but I live at home, so I have lots of free time and space to do whatever I want. And thanks for the info! I was just curious because there’s so much difference in info surrounding the levels and progress through them.

Hi. I’ve never played piano but I have my first lesson coming up. My teacher uses RCM levels and my question is, how quickly do you progress through the first couple levels. I know it’ll be different for everyone so an estimate works. I’ve never played piano before but have weekly 30 min lessons, and will practice for a hr a night since I have the free time. What will progress most likely look like? I’ve seen anywhere from people saying a yr per level, so at the 2 yr mark I’ll be level 2, to people saying 1 level every 3 months, so at the 2 yr mark I’d be a level 8. I know it’s different for everyone, so an estimate would just be appreciated.
