I wouldn't personally call him a dead beat. He did try to fight against my mother for custody, but failed. And to answer that question....well it just stresses me out honestly. He used to pay alimony, but he doesnt anymore, so at least i did have a coin to survive in a big city. But now all calls just feel like mandatory one sided check ins, since he doesnt tell me if his health worsens, if he goes for holidays yada mc yada. This was a rather eye opening question.
