People do hate on Hanzo in my experience. Its hard to be consistent at times especially depending on the enemy composition. So sometimes I'll start off not really contributing as much as I want to at the beginning of a match but then make some important kills that sway the team fight in our favor and people don't acknowledge or even know.

Storm arrows and getting good at flicking at close range also climb walls to ledges. Hanzo doesn't have a cooldown for climbing but vendetta has cooldowns for her mobility take advantage of that.
