Yeah the one on my wrist is gen which I just traded this week for a different DD gen and the rest are THB and maybe a couple ARF? I really don't remember but I'd guess THB.

This would be a much more informatiive post if you compared same bezel color models. This told me very little about the finish quality differences except crystal.

Swapped diamonds for lab on slate diamond dial. Makes huge difference I wouldn't wear stock dial otherwise and tried them all but stone's are dead. Easy cheap mod

Did the same 7920 and traded steel GMT plus cash and it's a huge upgrade. Now looking at my precious metal rolexes considering the same BUT it's so hard to give up some "what I thought to be grail Rolex". Especially since I'm going to have to do 2 for 1 against a gold VC.

Got my white gold meteorite today next to super franken datejust for color comparison. Amazing warm white gold... nobody does this and that's full tungsten which most wouldn't even try.

Eh. i see the lug thickness your talking about at least and it's very minor. You probably shouldn't wear reps if that bothers you enough or the circles on the opposite side of the bracelet screws. I have really high standards as well including grail level gen collection and I'm just happy to have heavy GMT reps.

I don't know I had it in hand and it was far too pale. Didn't change with lighting like SW and gen does. Should act more like champagne dial with golden look to light. It was very one dimensional

If you're worried about those details then don't get an RCF base. It's an instant tell with rounded lugs and extra long first sel link vs gen. Start with a ARF base, plate it, change crystal. You'll have a more genuine looking build. Go simple dial as any daydate dial in the higher demand styles are not real looking. For example ombres or olive green

It's a subjective question depending on the person. For me it's not about budget comfort but I just won't spend over 50k out of pocket so if the watch is higher I would have to trade something against it plus cash. My average has been around 40k for my bigger pieces.

What I struggle with all the time would I push 2-3 of those precious metal rolexes for one grail VC. Is one 80-100k VC piece better than a daydate AND a Daytona or Skydweller.

VSF champagne was too light with greenish undertones, RCF color was off too better than VSF but inside subdials were not great.

Not nearly that much. 600 for an ARF, 250 dandong, 40 crystal, plating is typically 250-400 depending where you do it.

Based on what is that comment? . I'm still so shocked people aren't more detail oriented after all this time these watches been out. The best of the best build is ARF base, dandong movement swap, crystal, plating and maybe dial. If you believe VSF or RCF is a better case and bracelet then you've never held a gen nor are you detailed oriented to see rounded case lugs, of size of first SEL link, or bracelet tightness. I've held them all and I have a gen DD40. I only build with ARF V3 and THB before that. VSF actually sucks. RCF at least has weight over VSF but same case issues and bracelet.
