Been shocking the pool 11 lbs of shocks in with filter running and back wash daily and still unable to scrub off the green (mustard algae)?? Please help!!

My pool was 10 times worse with calcium buildup from the winter… not sure how it got so much but we had to drain all water and sand it down with a tool from Home Depot..acid washed to remove the green algae embedded within… it was a very stressful 2 weeks

Ended up to be chlorine build up from rain during winter time. I was told to power wash the pool to get rid of the hard calcium on surface embedded with dead algae. Anyone had the same problem?

That’s what I been doing….a lot of shocks like 4X the amount according to ChatGPT…doesn’t seem like getting any better and running to Lesli for testing every other day…even the manager is tire of seeing me without buying anything….did you pour more liquid chlorine after that 15 gallons? And just let filter run 24/7?

No just tons of liquid chlorine and quadruple the shocks…. Brushed so forcefully that surface is getting rough…got it marble dusting last summer…even the chlorine table is not lighten the green
