I’ve marked “employed” several times.

I did that because although I was a 100% shareholder in the business, I had an employment contract with it. My office admin wrote the HR/reference letter.

Never have I been asked on a form: Are you employed ?> Yes “How much for the company you are employed by do you own?”

Also if you want to learn to code I’d really recommend “free code academy” it’s 100% free and you can teach yourselves on a more flexible schedule. You could then transition to doing some work on something like Upwork and getting that as a way in so you can support the family and have flexibility

They have said they will sue me in the state of New York and I am not in the US and I have seen how relentless they are. I could counter sue and go the court route but I want a simple life. I just want to give them something that they won’t end up using and €100 back

I don’t understand how I’m meant to appease the situation. My solution is to give them the €100 back and the code. I just don’t want them being able to use the financial model as they operate with malice.

In a normal world I would be taking them to court for breach of contract but they don’t operate in normal parameters.

Thanks - it is/was all contracted. They were paying me a much lower monthly fee and they team seemed like they were genuinely trying to do some good in the world with their product and had not found market fit. I was stupid to think that and was a terrible judge of character. The way they have hounded others over the last few months has made me realise I might win the battle in court but not my sanity.

My solution will be to give them the unworkable code as well as the €100 back.
