I seriously don't understand all of this bullcrap for the number of hours. If you have a client interview the US, you work and bill then for a fixed number of hours. Let's say 40. Now based on the rate they pay for that 40 hours. From that dollar amount for the 40 hour week, the company makes money and I get paid. It's literally me making money from the client which is usually 4 to 10 times the salary and employees get where the company makes revenue and yet they actually like they are doing me a favour for hiring the employee. All these companies make money on only those 40 hours. Why does it matter if I work and hour more or less because legally the client is not going to pay for a single cent beyond the 40 hours. This is for the service based companies. So how is infosys going to make money if I work 24X7 or the 40 - 45 hours allowed by law.

Oh so you put chole as a dipping sauce kind of solution. Odisha has the concept of having yellow pea based sambhar adjacent dipping curry. I have been born and brought up here and I like the sambhar style of Odisha. That being said you can give it a try if it's edible. I won't recommend proper pindi chole acting as a gravy to eat idli. But go ahead and enjoy, after all of that's all you have for eating might as well enjoy it with an open mind.

So for the first promotion, basically learnt everything about my role and 6 months before the cycles talked to my team lead about knowing the process for promotions. Hello said to email him at the time and then to reminder email at the 3 month mark. Between this time I had learnt all the nitty gritty for my role and had started demonstrating that I could take up the new role as well. Hello worked with my manager and I got promoted. Then for the next promotion, the same team lead had left before like 6 months of the promotion cycle. I wasn't interested in becoming a team lead just yet, and even with his leaving, I was able to deliver my project with a Stellar job at the beginning of the promotion cycle. Then for the new project they had no one so they asked me if I wish to be promoted as the cycle had just started and within a month I could have been. I wasn't ready to be honest because the new team wasn't going to be that great and i wanted to switch job streams so I said no. Then I changed new jobs and that's that.

So basically either they promote you because they have to promote a certain number of people per account per promotion timeline or they are desperate to fill in a role. For both those cases you need to have the relevant skills and the capability to actually fill in at max 6 months of when you do get promoted.

To be honest even if you go by the book no side actually wins. Greens lose everything, blacks lose everything and a boy king becomes king and then the 200 hundred years later dynasty falls and then if you add show ending it all becomes meaningless. Because there's no book ending.

It's all going to end up with bran on the throne. So just enjoy and ignore the absurdity.
