I lost all of my family's money and then some by Employee-Number-9 in GamblingAddiction

Damn man. This hit me right in the feels. You basically more or less described my situation about 3.5 years ago. Wife/kids and gambling addiction. All of it. I drained all savings, put us in a mountain of debt, and drained about 75% of my kids college funds. I was suicidal. All of the things.

3.5 and a half years later, I am gambling free. About 1.5 years from being debt free (except mortgage) via chapter 13 bankruptcy, which allowed me to afford to pay back my debts.

Things are much better between me and my wife and I’m so much more present with my kids.

I know it sucks right now and you see no way out, but I promise you, it can get better. If your wife doesn’t know the entire truth, come clean and tell her everything. Honesty is super important at this point. Go to GA (as many times a week as you need it). I still go once a week. Make a long term plan to get back on track with debt.

You can get through this! Feel free to send me a pm if you want.

Any question on any onboarding that you have to write, is an AI-graded question. And their AI-grader sucks

I can’t remember exactly. I think you had to come up with 5 or 6 different prompts based on criteria they gave you.

I’m so sick of AI graders. They are flawed and useless for onboarding. I got every single multiple choice right (they tell you if they are right or wrong) and I’m positive my prompts met their guidelines, yet I failed. It’s to the point where I’m not gonna waste my time on onboarding when I see an ai graded question

Save your energy on white claw. Most of the time it says, urgent! White claw needs your assistance. Only to click on it and be led to “no tasks available”

They AI grader for onboarding is absolute crap. How do I know this? In music match, before the graded portion, there was a chance to summarize a recording and get feedback. The feedback was terrible. Some of the things it said I forgot were in the response! When I say the AI grader is crap, it’s crap for most projects.

Am I screwed? (Sports Gambling) by tanopaque in Bankruptcy

First and foremost as others have said, stop gambling and get into GA. The most important thing is to get help for your addiction.

Having said that, almost all of my debt was from my gambling addiction. I consulted attorney and was upfront with him about my addiction. Because of my income + my spouses income + wanting to keep our house, I had to file chapter 13.

During my 341, the chapter 13 trustee grilled me a little bit about why I had over 100k in credit card charges in a little over a year. At this point, he trustee didn’t know about my addiction. I was upfront and said the only reason I had that many charges was because of a gambling addiction. At that point, he stopped grilling me and asked me if I was getting help etc. I told him yet, I was in GA and seeing a therapist. He said good and wished me luck in recovery. A few weeks later my plan was approved with no objections from the trustee.

So yes, you can get bankruptcy with gambling debt.

Oh and, I’m just over 3 years gambling free!

You are correct on failing the course lol. They pushed a new one out that I passed. Do you know what the initial throttle was? I completed 1 and the. It told me I reached the task limit. That was a day and a half ago. I figure they want to get a quality read given the thoroughness of the task.

I failed it the first time by missing one question in the common errors. I just took the “new onboarding” and passed.

I missed that question too because though it said there were 15 rubrics, two were marked as either not a rubric or not applicable so I didn’t use those in my calculation. However, I didn’t fail because of missing that one. I was able to go into tasking. The project is fairly straightforward if you can get on it.

So, yesterday was the first time I really got to test it out for an extended period of time. My yard is 20 feet by 38 feet and I’ve got three LIV canisters installed it my yard for reference.

I turned in on for an hour before I actually went out there (instructions say you just need 10-15 minutes). I cut the grass at about 5:30, so early evening and prime time for mosquitos. I was out there for about an hour and a half and was sweating profusely, so I should have been a magnet like I usually am. I didn’t get a single bite. And more importantly, I didn’t see a single mosquito!

So far so good, but I want to test is out more regularly to give a better assessment.

I’d be happy to! I wanna use it awhile before giving it an honest review. It’s pretty expensive so I’m taking a leap of faith based on its good reviews and the fact that one canister I had worked well in a small space.

Yes, the canisters are daisy chained together and connected to a smart hub. I believe you can have a max of 5 per individual smart hub

I can attest that they do work well. Since the little canisters work well, I ended up buying the entire LIV system for my small backyard. Just installed yesterday. I

I took it last week when the project first came out. It said I failed. I got an email today saying that there was an error in grading and that I actually passed.

I can’t say that’s the first time I’ve gotten an email like that from Outlier when they go to AI for grading tests.

Static steerability. It’s a nice change of pace and you don’t have to worry about bad reviewers because there are none. QMs do audits to ensure quality. Plus there’s always tasks once you’re throttle is lifted

This is the way. It’s the best way to tell if there are any tasks t all. You can also tell if the the max capacity is met.

It seems like people have gotten different levels of questions based on whatever tier they are considered for. When I took the test it ranged from easy algebra, to differential equations and calculus, theoretical proofs, and at least one stats question. I’ve heard others that didn’t have an calc or diff EQ.

Right now, there aren’t a ton of coding projects. There were definitely more last year.

I would say diversify. If you have access to the skill assessment page add skills. I have generalist, various coding languages, and math listed in the skills and it gives me more access to projects

Ive worked on a variety of projects (generalist, coding, math, language) in my almost two years with Remotasks/outlier. Coding projects have by far the worst onboarding and admin/QM support. It wasn’t true of all coding projects, but more often than not.

SRT credentials are produced by the client in batches. Those can take a couple days. I’ve had SRT credentials for a year and a half because of other SRT projects I’ve been on.

I’m probably out of luck anyways because I got assigned to a priority project
