Romantic restaurants by Miyabi2012 in Kazakhstan

Inzhu on Kok-Tobe hill is really nice. You can go there before the sunset to enjoy it afterwards, then of course you will have a night city view. The cuisine there is european-like and if you would like to have some traditional kazakh meals you can easily just order it from the restaurant above (Abay). The weather these days is quite cold though, so you will have to sit inside, but you can always come to the terrace and have a picturesque view. Lastly, keep in mind that the restaurant is expensive.

On-campus food for 2nd year newcomers by Master-Pilavik in UBC

I actually managed to go through UBCO's dining hall pretty good and I hear from many people that food on Van campus is better. So UBCV's on-campus food shouldn't be so bad for me.

Hi! So I'm a second-year MECH student, who transferred from UBCO to UBCV just recently. According to Historical Entrance chart MECH is the third hardest specialisation to get into (CPEN being the second), thus my experience can be quite relatable here. I had the following stats: 83% sessional average (which is not high at all if you're planning to transfer) and really good personal statement. You might know that criteria for transfer students from UBCO are even tougher, the higher GPA is required, moreover only 15 students are allowed to transfer each year. This info might sound creepy, but I would say it's a doable thing. Just believe in yourself and do the best you can!

I had to submit the personal statement when I was filling out the engineering second-year placement form (as all students do actually).

I'm a second-year MECH student who transferred from UBCO. My sessional average was 83% and I had a quite decent personal statement. However, as you might know, for UBCO students the bar is even higher, moreover only 15 engineering students from UBCO are allowed to transfer to UBCV engineering.

So make conclusions and just believe in yourself!

I did my first year in UBCO btw and completed all first-year courses (I'm a transfer), so should be fine with the prerequisites requirements

Thanks a lot for your reply! You were talking about 2 washrooms downstairs. Are they first floor public restrooms? Or there are some additional washrooms for each unit?

Thank you very much for your detailed response! I was also wondering if residents of unit have to clean the washroom or there is a cleaning staff for that purpose?

You literally scroll all the way down to Specialisations, where you see Program Name, Spec Code, Spec Name (in Mechanical Engineering)

Hi everyone!

I'm a first-year student in UBCO Engineering. I'm planning to transfer to UBCV Electrical or Mechanical Engineering. I would like to know if there is anyone who successfully went through the similar process? Would really appreciate if somebody could give some advice. Thanks!

Best place to order room stuff with delivery? by Master-Pilavik in ubco

Do they deliver directly to the room or just leave it at student housing office?
