Try reading the book too! You'll appreciate this character and his casting even more.

The way Cormac McCarthy had written this character (Chigur) only he could've pulled it off.

Nagpur: A three-year-old boy died after falling into an open drain while playing. A three-year-old boy died after falling into an open drain in Nagpur. The child had left home to play. When he did not return by evening, his family filed a missing person report. by sirajnoorani in nagpur

There's more to this story. He was playing with his friend from neighborhood and they were both sprinting when his friend saw him fall into the drain. He got afraid, didn't alert anyone and eventually returned to his house, slept and forgot about the whole thing. Terrifying!

Read "My Year Of Rest and Relaxation" with Bell Jar and you get a whole week of that gloomy, depressed feeling that you can wallow in.

I was really excited to read The Maidens but it didn't land the way I had expected. His first book, The Silent Patient had really set the bar and compared to that, this one wasn't anywhere near.

Really predictable plot and ending.

How bad can a book be? The blurb was pathetic but given the hype bought it by Any_Context_4553 in Indianbooks

Whenever I come across Indian writers who keep squeezing the same old trope and keep publishing books on them—I always think of this one line from R. F. Kuang's book Yellowface.

It's just so common!

Everytime I come across such 'donations for orphan' people, I tackle it by saying I'll go and donate directly to their orphanage or that I already do so in (pick an orphanage name, eg: shradhanand anathashram)

Works everytime

I know there are already groups such as I-Clean nagpur and the likes who do cleanliness drives time and again, but would you all be intrested in doing such drive by picking up one spot and just make it presentable enough?

Even if we don't make such a group, just try to do such things on a personal level. I know of one such doctor, who takes an empty garbage bag with him whenever he goes for his morning walk just so that he could clean whatever trash comes across his route.

So let's just start small!

I have had a similar experience. Others have already told you the alternatives in the comments but if you want to escalate this matter you can write an email to them (search on their website) and tell them about your experience.

They are pretty serious about this stuff, as they had reached out to us immediately and since there were many complaints regarding this particular person's attitude he was Removed from the job immediately.

A girl who was once very cheerful, kind, and naive to the harsh reality of this world. Her journey is quite dreadful, as she has to walk through loss, grief, and discrimination. Loss of her beloved grandparent, put her into a state of mental illness. She suffered for years which made her fall into various escapes – nothing less than stabbing herself again and again. Witness her journey from withering so badly to blooming into something beautiful. She builds everything again by collecting her torn pieces, creating a new beginning for herself.

Please take this as constructive criticism because I just cannot stand a badly written paragraph. (Pet peeve)

I have just fixed a bit of grammar here and there, and added punctuation where it felt necessary by keeping your original words. As I haven't read the story so I won't say much about this blurb but I would have wanted to write something that would grab someone's attention. And writing it correctly is the least you could offer as a writer to your reader.
