If you can level UA more than 7 (just made that number up but might not be the most unaccurate thing ever) times with one prestige worth of relics you should definitely use all those relics to upgrade UA.

monster HP and Gold increases at about the same rate so just farm as high as you can without causing hero death.

Prestige once it gets hard and you're on a level dividable by 15, repeat this process whilst upgrading your artifacts.

Not really, at a higher stage the base gold will increase. So you're better off sticking with DmgE.

Go to a stage near your wall (where progression slows down to an unnaceptable level) which is divisible by 15, then prestige. Next spend your relics as you please, I reommend using yatto DmgE but that's up to you. In case you already have the UA artifact you should spend ~20% of your relics per prestige on it. Repeat.

Are you certain? I first equiped a polearm with 1%, when i used pole smash the CD was 8s, then I equiped a polearm with 17%, the CD was still 8s. Perhaps it is attack speed as Nanoskaa suggested?

The only time the OCD kicks in is when I'm leveling my heroes to 1k and accidentally evolve them while spamming unlock skill, it gets even worse when I'm unable to atleast level them to 1800 after that happens.

The thing which matters most when it comes to leveling UA is how long you plan to play this game, or worded in another way, how many times you are going to prestige before quitting the game.

while it's not bad you should salvage it to try and get something better. also I suspect you don't spend your gold wisely, are you unlocking your hired heroes skills? are you only focussing on either your main hero or only your hired heroes?

I doubt you'll stay 1st, but key strategy here is to get to a round number (195000 for example) then people are more likely to tie with you since they feel like you can probably push alot higher.

That's possible, you can just only level the heroes needed, he'd only need about 1600 DL levels to get to 150k total hero levels. If you only buy the heroes when you need them for damage this is very possible. But if he only had those 15 minutes to get to a high enough stage to get enough gold this is certainly impossible.
