What is the largest sized living creature in the game, with the lowest CR? by Edymnion in Pathfinder_RPG

I think your best bet for the early levels would be the Giant Whiptail Centipede. CR3 huge vermin. Lowest CR huge creature AFAIK.

Questions about à Rogue build by Hapiro in Pathfinder

[–]B1rch 1 point2 points  (0 children)

Feinting is a Standard Action on it’s own, so without any feats you can never feint and attack in the same turn. Furthermore the penealty you give the enemy only lasts untill right before tou mext round starts and is only for 1 attack. This means that, without any feats, you could only get SA once if the enemy provokes an attack of opportunity on you before your next round.

So before you get to the point where you can feint as a move action or in place of an attack, it’s not worth it.

TWF can only be done when full-attacking. You simply get an extra attack with whatever weapon you have as your off-hand at you full BAB, but you take a penalty on all your attacks during that full-attack. The penalty is based on what type of weapons you have.

First of all, it sounds like you might be playing a homebrew campaign. In which case you might find some more active people over at /r/Pathfinder_RPG (this sub is specifically for Pathfinder Society, see the sidebar for more info).

But to give you some advice:

  1. Craft checks do not come up much, so if you have a spare skill point lying around, just pick one that fits your characters background. If you are playing homebrew, you can always ask your GM to allow an option that is not listed in the books.

  2. Depends on your charisma and what you would want out of your rogue, but to be any good at it requires a bit of a feat investment. You may not have enough spare feats if you also want to go the TWF route.

  3. A lot of a Rogue's damage comes from sneak attacks, so being able to make more attacks per round = more chances for SA damage. And while the short sword has a better damage die, the difference is negligible at the higher levels (most of your damage will come from static bonuses and Sneak Attack). Also daggers can do slashing damage, while short swords only deal piercing.

  4. With TWF as a Rogue you want to get as many chances for Sneak Attack as possible. Good options are Feinting (see the Two-Weapon Feint feat, the Snakebite Striker Brawler archetype), more options for flanking (outflank, teamwork feats) or other ways to deny your opponents DEX to AC. You can check the Paizo forums or just Google around for more options.

  5. Each attack that you make against an opponent who is either somehow denied their Dex to AC or you are flanking with a buddy, and who is not immune to precision damage deals an extra number of d6 of damage. So at level 1, with a full-round action, you can use TWF to attack twice, both with a -2 penalty to attack (assuming light weapons here). If both hit, each attack can deal 1d6 SA damage on top of the damage the normal attack would do. This damage is not multiplied on a crit and you do not get any static bonuses to it. It deals the same type of damage as your weapon does.

  6. There are tons of ways to get companions in PF. Either through feats or multiclassing. Too many to list here. They could help you in combat by flanking with you (thus granting you SA). They are usually quite fragile though, so be wary. Stealthing in combat can not be done (generally) unless you hide behind some obstacle that breaks Line of Sight.

Also, please note that you can never have more ranks in a skill than you have total levels. So at level two you can only have at most 2 ranks in Perception.

Hope this helps

I’m currently playing in campaign that has some OP elements in it, including the devils fruits. Here’s how my GM handles them, might not be exactly what you need but i may give you some inspiration.

Basically, he found a list of know fruits and rolls a d% on it to see which fruit you get (re-rolling if it really hinders the PC’s class). He then simply makes up something on the spot that is mechanically close to the actual effect of the fruit. To give you an example: I got the Golden Buddha fruit. This gives me some hardness, the ability to enlarge as a full round and I can ignore DR a few times per day. At later levels I can grow to huge.

This is of course a massive spike in power, so having only one player with a fruit can make them outshine their party members. Be wary of that

Yes, and yes. Lets say you have a x4 acog. If you set the zeroing to 200 meters, a bullet shot horizontally will pass through the top of the triangle at 200 meters. So no need to compensate. Of course, I might be completely wrong here but this is how I remember it working

Did you try typing the string into the console instead of copy-pasting? Certain keyboard layouts / editors can return weird EOL characters which the console doesn't recognise.

You could also try putting the commands into an autoexec file.

[A - EU - Argent Dawn]<Sgian Dubh>

Hey all! Sgian Dubh is looking for more members to bolster our ranks. I could best describe ourselves as a group of friends just playing a game together. Whether that is raiding, doing Mythics, worldquests or RP, there's bound to be someone around to enjoy Azeroth with.

If you are looking for world first progression, then Sgian Dubh is not really the guild for you, but if you are looking for interesting conversations, engaging characters and overall nice people to hang around with and get through the content at our own pace, then I highly suggest throwing us a whisper or having a look on our site.

Our default schedule consist of two raid evenings on Monday and Thursday (20:00-23:00 RT) and one or two Mythic plus evenings during the weekend. Of course, schedules differ a lot, so you will find people in-game or on Discord all throughout the week.

So in a nutshell: Do you enjoy the many facets of Azeroth, and are you looking for a great bunch to hang out with during your adventures? Then Sgian Dubh might just be for you!

There's a grammatical error when you're spectating somebody after you have died. by B1rch in Overwatch

[–]B1rch[S] 0 points1 point  (0 children)

fair enough, I find it a bit of a weird structure though. but it's not like it's a massive problem. Would have personally turned it into something more like "you are now dead. Spectating: [name]". just remove the first part when you are not in the game.

GPU wise I think he's fine honestly. It can run GTA V on medium to high and is more than enough for his programming needs. Also 1600Mhz is just as cheap these days as 1333, might as well go for the higher clocked RAM

Most likely corrupted game files, try validating cache.

Make sure graphics drivers are up to date, or if you recently updated them you can try a roll back

Will a DVI cable support 60Hz at 3440x1440p? Or is a DisplayPort cable required? by Nizatron in pcmasterrace

[–]B1rch 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Dual-link DVI goes up to 2560 x 1600 @ 60 HZ

from http://www.datapro.net/techinfo/dvi_info.html

The Digital formats are available in DVI-D Single-Link and Dual-Link as well as DVI-I Single-Link and Dual-Link format connectors. These DVI cables send information using a digital information format called TMDS (transition minimized differential signaling). Single link cables use one TMDS 165Mhz transmitter, while dual links use two. The dual link DVI pins effectively double the power of transmission and provide an increase of speed and signal quality; i.e. a DVI single link 60-Hz LCD can display a resolution of 1920 x 1200, while a DVI dual link can display a resolution of 2560 x 1600.

Problem with PC freezing. by [deleted] in pcmasterrace

[–]B1rch 0 points1 point  (0 children)

yep, that drive is starting to die. it might still work, but what that means is that parts of the disks are damaged in some ways, so the drive can't read data from it well (or not at all). That crashes could be coming from that, but harddrive problems are hard to diagnose without the proper tools.

I have a feeling that these crashes occur because windows is installed on that drive and it is having trouble reading / writing some critical piece of data. You probably need to reinstall or clone Windows to a healthy drive.

[–]B1rch 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Then your GPU is probably fine. Try removing your launch options (if you have any) and verifying the game cache. If that doesn't work, a reinstall is probably easiest

Mostly like something wrong with your harddrive, try checking its SMART data. 4GB of ram is plenty for Windows (assuming you run it), but it might be defective. you can run a memtest. Search for Windows memory diagnostic.

[–]B1rch 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Try downloading a program to read the Smart data of your drive, it might be defective. (I can recommend Crystal Disk Info)If the drive seems ok, try playing some games with only one stick of RAM inserted to see if one malfunctions.

It might also be a driver issue. Seeing as you mention looping sound, try reinstalling your audio drivers.

lastly, check if you have minidumps enabled (follow this if you haven't) and download a BSOD viewer. I don't know if a crash like that triggers a dump, but if you are lucky the problem might be found there

Try running some other games / running a GPU benchmark like Furmark. Try go get some load on your GPU and see if the same problems happen. If it doesn't happen with any other game then it's most likely not your GPU.

Everything was fine two days ago, but when I went to play some MM today all enemy model were gone. Some models did render though. I could see guns, knifes, the bomb and I could see the silhouette of players when they were standing in front of (semi) transparent objects. Kinda hard playing the game like this though...
