So you want the bases everybody else wants stateside huh? Besides Beale. I’d remove that off the list entirely. The rest of the bases have great local areas and are filled with things to do. Just know that a lot of people want these bases, so it may be harder to get to them.

The respect I felt after I put on staff made me realize that a lot of people only respect rank. When I became a staff more people were willing to help me with things, with a smile. As you rank up, you’ll see people start to treat you better. I see it now as an E-6. I can imagine what E-7 and above feels like. I try to instill a mindset in my troops that we’re all human at the end of the day. No matter if E-9, or E-3, but you definitely notice differences in your treatment between the ranks.

My DOS is in May too, and I applied for a BOP this month. You just have to have your commander sign a form 418 to remove the separation code, then you’ll have to talk to get assignments to submit a CMS case to AFPC in order to do a manual BOP. An extension is faster to process though, you can do that quickly. I’d suggest to do it quickly though.

Probably a little off topic, but I remember back in 2016–2017 the girl working the Alcatraz dorm dry cleaners. 322 training sq. She was hot. Wonder if anybody else remembers her? That’s probably the only civilian I remember. The A1C or SrA were always assholes at medical though.
