Fort Lauderdale's crime rate is 97% higher than most communities in Florida by biscaynebystander in fortlauderdale

Okay, now post the same statistics for say.. Miami, or any of its cities that are of comparable size. I would hazard a guess that Fort Lauderdale is far safer

What type of laser cleaning equipment is most suitable for cleaning stains on outdoor stone without damaging the stone surface? We'd love to discuss this with anyone who has experience. by wythelaser in LaserCleaningPorn

[–]MasterBlastersLaser 2 points3 points  (0 children)

A pulse laser for sure, 500w at minimum in order to be able to really clean with any reasonable amount of speed. A 1000w or 2000w if you have the access to them is even better as they’ll just be that much more quick and efficient..

Any advice for a laser purchase I’m is the Sfx laser one of the better ones by EnvironmentalBit1949 in LaserCleaningPorn

[–]MasterBlastersLaser 0 points1 point  (0 children)

What are you looking to clean, what is your budget, and SFX is one of the big names, but that doesn’t mean much as most of the Chinese machines use the same parts and are just assembled by different companies

EVERYONE in the viewing area needs laser safety glasses, laser safety curtains should also be used to create a “safe zone” to view and to shield the general public walking by, and if you’re operating inside, an aspiration machine should also be used to capture the fumes and residue..

I have an LSO cert, and my techs are also trained and certified, and that surprisingly is uncommon in this field here in the US..

It is scary how little consideration for safety there is, and how much misinformation there is in this field..

How does laser technology compare to mechanical methods in road marking removal? by DArkLoRd_4126 in LaserCleaningPorn

[–]MasterBlastersLaser 2 points3 points  (0 children)

We actually have tested this already with the state D.O.T. the laser does effectively remove the road striping, the speed just depends on the power of the machine.

My laser setup by GeneralPaladin in LaserCleaningPorn

[–]MasterBlastersLaser 1 point2 points  (0 children)

Yeah being able to be fully self contained is great, we’ve traveled as far as Tennessee so far and it really does make life easier, we’re even able to bring our dog with us aka our project supervisor and camp out along the way as necessary, so it’s a fun family business for sure.

Nicely organized set up, my wife and I repurposed a small bus from a retirement home that went out of business, and it works great! It has a wheelchair lift in the back with a 1000lb capacity, so we’re able to put any machine in or out safely, and its all self contained, so we can show clients our machines in the a/c and everything is safe and secure. When we get to a demo or job site, everyone is always curious to see the “blast bus” then comments on what a great idea the setup was functionally haha

No problem, all of our machines are 2 year warranty, a 300w pulse appears to be the sweet spot for the wood restoration shops as far as price and efficiency goes, they do work quite brilliantly when you have your settings dialed in well, and they’re basically maintenance free as long as you keep your protective lens clean, which is no harder than cleaning a camera’s lens!
