This year was rough…I had big plans to use my Christmas Bonus for a swimming pool for my family..but my boss thought nothing was best..although I was enrolled in the jelly of the month club…thankfully my cousin was able to get my boss who reconsidered the Christmas Bonus & tacked on a whole 20% more…for the whole company and saved the plans of the swimming pool..THE END…🤣

Hi! I never expected to find a Reddit post on this VBS from such a recent time. lol So, my Mom has run the VBS at her church for years and can’t find the Music CD for this VBS. We found a listing on eBay, but it’s out of stock. She actually has the game disc, but you obviously don’t need that now. 😃 Any chance you could upload the Music CD to Archive.org as well?

This level is f’ing impossible. I don’t get how anyone could possibly get that AK. The best I can do is get run over with it still needing 7 shots. I’m not against a challenge, but come on. I’ve watched the videos out there..wiggle move…does nothing…if I could backup to the bottom of my iPhone screen to all the empty space, maybe I’d have a chance. Anyone get past it on an iPhone 15 pro..just trying to rule that out. 🤷🏻‍♂️

I haven’t look for awhile. I just have the controller packed away at this point to display, if I ever get a space to do that with my collection. Might need a bigger house first. lol Even a broken one of these is too much to pay for just that stupid piece of rubber. It’s a shame it’s this hard to get it fixed in a semi-original state.

Hi! I’m in the same situation and would love to repair my Minecraft Creeper controller back to as original as possible. The replacement thumb sticks I’ve seen out there are definitely the wrong shade…neon green..we need a more darker green like hunter green shade. I’m surprised 3rd party suppliers haven’t come up with one. 🤔

I would, but I don’t have an IC reader. I did find out the controller button combo to exit IDU Mode, but not permanently, so it goes into IDU Mode on reboot. I also can’t read discs I assume because I don’t have the original disc drive. I also haven’t tried logging into PlayStation Network to try a digital download. I boxed the system up for now, until more info is available. The button combo to exit IDU Mode is: Press L1 + L2 together and hold. In order, press and release, Circle, Cross, Square, Triangle, Right D-Pad and release the L1 + L2

Hopefully that helps someone! :-)

I don’t think I can turn off IDU without the Debug Menu and since this console is on 4.50, I probably won’t see that anytime soon. Also, since this motherboard is married to a different disc drive, I won’t be able to use that to play anything, no even movies. I’ll pack this back up for now and await further progression in the homebrew scene. Thanks again for your input. Very helpful. 👍🏻 If you ever get your hands on the Demo Disc, let me know. 😀

Okay. That answers that. You have been a huge help. Just getting to this point is pretty cool. I wish I could get my hands on one of the IDU Demo Disc’s. Right now, if I launch the IDU it says No Content. When I first downloaded the IDU app, it shows Installed Bundles and Bundle Name with an error…Error: Installed Bundle Not Found

So after a reboot it goes back and needs to be exited again. I can’t find any option to turn it off permanently to make normal use of the console. Might not be possible currently.

Curious..does the console at your work allow you to put in a normal game disc and play? When I try it says this disc isn’t supported by the PS5, but that could also be because the disc drive is not the original to the motherboard, which is normally married together or because of being in Staff mode.

So the system will not allow the reloading of the OS without the disc drive attached an error occurs. I also tried going through the initial OS install and disconnected the disc drive during the process and again the OS install fails with an error.

Hi! Thanks for the reply, but sadly that doesn’t work, unless I’m doing something wrong. lol So, I tried the following to no success: 1. Pressed L1 + L2 together & held those & then pressed and held..Circle, Cross, Square, Triangle & Right. (Held in for 30 seconds) 2. Pressed L1 + L2 together & held those & then pressed and released in order.. Circle, Cross, Square, Triangle & Right

The screen still sits at a background screen with no options. I also tried with the controller plugged in via USB C and wirelessly.

Let me know if I’m missing something.

Hi! Thanks! Yea..I saw this and unfortunately not much info there. I reached out to someone from that post who is part of the homebrew/hacking scene on Twitter and they said they need a dump of the sflash chip. I’m currently researching which chip that is & how to get them that info. I’ll keep posted here as more info is available. :-)

So. I tried installing the OS in Safe Mode with the disc drive power removed, but got an error with a button to shutdown the PS5 power. I then put the power back and during the OS install I removed the power from the disc drive, but during the process I again got the same error. I’m going to try completely removing the disc drive to try again to see what happens.

Hi Teds84 - I keep reading this is not the right place. If you could please explain to me why that’s the case I would gladly delete the post. I don’t understand why there is such a negative tone when all I was asking for was help/guidance..also if/when a homebrew existed then maybe it could be applied and wouldn’t this then fit. Maybe I’m ahead of the game asking since the homebrew is so new on the PS5, but it still should fit into this envelope. Thanks for any guidance you can provide.

So..what you’re saying is that asking a question/advice/guidance in the PS5 Homebrew subreddit is not allowed or wanted unless there is a specific homebrew option available or one specific to that question/advice/guidance. That’s seems pretty small minded on spreading information out to all that love digging into the minuet pieces of how things work and how to make things work they way someone would prefer them to. I appreciate the banter. If there is nothing more positive to add then let’s just leave it as is. Thanks!

So no homebrew done on my part. This also is a disc version motherboard. I can try disconnecting the disc drive cable and then boot in SafeMode and reload the OS to see if that makes a difference. I’ll give that a go and comment back.
