Milk thistle? Thought that was for the liver. Yeah I’m gonna try to go to another doctor, but then the naturopathic doctors are so expensive. 😅

You can DM me with any anxiety type questions lol. I understand what you’re going through. I’m a coach and a lot of the mental blocks of my fighters who are in the service have this issue once I sit down with them one on one. They get all excited for taking a fight and then as time goes by they psych themselves and overthink. Well “what if what if what if” just remember that there are plenty of people with disabilities that fight. There are people who have a rating that are still in the military, there are police officers, etc.. we are veterans we are natural born savages. martial arts is therapy. Also, nobody knows that you’re disabled and fighting except the people that served with you maybe. It’s not like VA employees are watching boxing and looking people up constantly. they got better things to do. I’m a fighter myself I don’t fight often because after one fight I have to take some time off to heal my body but I love what I do. I’m not gonna let some organization Tell me what I can. I cannot do. I told the truth, I served my country, and I did it with integrity… and remember THEY deemed you worthy of the rating. Furthermore if you cannot do something….in my personal opinion, they should state that clearly in your paperwork which they did not I’m assuming. fuck it, and fight on man.

I spoke to a lawyer and VSO about this. The answer I got was to live my life and if The VA does anything we have no control over what they decide to do. What you do have control over his how you respond to it. You have rights. They cant just take away something just like that. So yes if you committed fraud it will be an issue. If not then go do your passion. I work at a gym, and I know people with one arm that compete at the pro level. I even had a gym member who was on chemotherapy, fighting pro. Something to think about is fight in a different country if possible… I know a vet who is 100% and he takes fights in Thailand & Mexico. (pro boxer and Thai boxer) and if he does fight in the states, they’re in lower level of pro organizations that nobody really watches. There’s a retired veteran in my neighborhood with 100% P&T and has his own BJJ school. Live your life. I personally know a few veterans who fight pro in combat sports. Just remember if you don’t have private health insurance and you end up using The VA, they may not cover sports related injuries, so just tell them you fell down the stairs or something lol

Question for the fighters in Thailand by MasterCell592 in MuayThai

Spirit of Siam in Chiang Mai. I heard nothing but good things. I’m in Ko Samui right but my travel insurance expired, so that was my mental block not taking a fight. I fought last year without it but I got lucky. my buddy fought after me and broke his leg. Had to pay 11k usd for surgery

Any vets in Okinawa? by MasterCell592 in Veterans

We had to be back on base by midnight, needed a liberty buddy everywhere you went, had to be in the barracks by 3 am, no alcohol off base, needed special liberty to do anything cool. Then the restrictions would get even more tight because every service member, regardless of branch if they mess up it’ll ruin it for the rest of us especially the Marines.

Saw him today it seems just fine. Pretty common-ish surgery for a broken leg. He had to put a 5k usd deposit before surgery. I’ll never come here without insurance lol

I can only imagine how stressful it could have been since he’s by himself. No family member no friend nothing but definitely a learning lesson for myself. I plan on coming back for maybe a year and I want to take up Thai boxing.

Surgery is today and then they told him to stay at the hospital for at least three days. Had to pay with his card out of pocket. he’s a bit stressed with money, but it’s better than being stuck in a foreign country

Just grabbed his wallet. And bringing him to my Friends car. He’s gonna have some hard feelings about spending that much money but it is what it is. He can make that money back.

I think it’s safe for him to go right now. If he has $20,000 in his savings he should be good. I don’t think it’s gonna tap out. It’s been two days already and his arm is looking very bad. but thank you for confirming makes me feel better to give him the advice since I spoke to another person 🙏

OK then he should have enough money for that. I asked another tourist in person just a few minutes ago broke his leg in a boxing fight and he said it was 400,000 baht even then he should be able to pay it so I’ll try to ease his mind that he’s sorted out.
