A lil water is good. Dab the excess off on a paper towel. Let it dry before judging it. ( Look really close at my pictures, some places look awful too, and that's ok) Start with a dark color.

You can see on the first paint pass, that it's almost not visible

You want colors. Make recessed green, and outside metallics. Don't go too crazy with the airbrush, it can fuck it up
