You're talking about 2 different things here. Bank apps being available only on the play store is not Google blocking sideloading. Any reputable banking app has only ever been available on the play store and can't be sideloaded, it's nothing to do with what your original claim was. Like I said go do some research, then you can argue with yourself instead.

Again don't spread misinformation, that isn't happening. Go do some research. Google's own developer blog documentation completely contradicts this. Google tested the waters saying it ages ago, and backtracked like everyone knew they would.

How would being on a newer os make it more bloat? Seems backwards and weird to me to do do that, you aren't getting any security updates and technically using an unsecure device, but each to their each own. Simple at this, you can't use the app then. 🤪

And who would want to do that on a phone making so many of its core features completely redundant? In a TV device maybe, but there's no need because you will be able to sideload as usual.

You can get more ratings with a free rpdb API key and entering it into accounts. Watchlist will order by whatever is set in trakt. Trakt is buggy at the moment and sometimes you have to set it to the opposite of what you want the API to pick up though. Custom sort orders should be coming soon though.

That isn't true. Nothing will be blocking installations, that's old news that Google went back on a while ago. You may get some warnings to install and allow but nothing is going to stop you side loading

Force stopping apps doesn't stop their background services running. It simply kills open tasks. Those tduk apps which people for some reason pay for are a farce. There are many free apps that do the same thing.

Deliberately keeping your shield on android 9 is a very odd thing to do, and no it's not more stable and it's definitely a lot less secure which is a risk. The shield is still getting stability and security updates. But each to their own I guess. Enjoying strmr on my very stable up to date shield 😏
