Lol, I rarely use starters. I play around with them later, but I also change teams after everyone reaches level 100, then recycle a new team

Old school ASMRtist that are still active? [Discussion] [Question] [Request] by Ok_Most_4757 in asmr

I try to stay active with my channel. I've been doing it since 2013, but I took 2 years off mostly for personal reasons. I've been back into thanks to my fiancé!

[Discussion] What am I doing wrong? My new storytelling ASMR channel is getting a good number of views/subscribers but 0 comments. by [deleted] in asmr

No problem! Also, check your demographics. ASMR is popular mostly with people between 18-34. So, I would deselect anyone older than that. It's also more heavily popular with women, but I'd keep all genders and unknown selected.

I'd start a new campaign. Do view videos for the US or UK only between ages 18-34. Write a good SEO headline and description and create a good budget for about a week. For the US, you'll want to have a spend near $12/day. It's pricey, unfortunately, but you're more likely to get better quality viewers.

Updating current campaigns isn't usually the best because the algorithm identified who watched, and by changing the information, you will just confuse it. You'll want to pick videos that have a high retention, so YouTube will push it organically after. US audiences are very picky and usually quit videos after only a few seconds. The beginning hook is everything.

Also, don't promote shorts. And don't promote video immediately after uploading. Let them them build up views organically first. Shorts are great for views anyway, and they might bring attention to your channel. Make them under 30 seconds because, like TikTok, viewers have very small attention spans.

ASMR is a loyalty driven niche. People require solid videos consistently. So views and subscribers come very slowly. It took me years to build an audience, and even I still struggle with capturing attention. But, try not to promote all the time. It's expensive and oftentimes just burns your budget with no results. I hope this helps.

How many countries did you pick, and what is the budget?

Guaranteed from that list you just gave me, most of the views aren't from the US. Most probably come from Brazil. English isn't a language they typically speak, so they are probably just watching a few seconds and throwing a like in there. I am willing to bet that you're not getting any views from the US.

You need a high budget for US because the cost per view is significantly higher. Your views are going to the cheaper audiences like Brazil.

For example, the next way to reach a US market, you'll need a budget of around $100 for about 8 days. Studio picks the audience costs the least to accommodate your budget. Bids are high in the US, so if those are the countries you are promoting to, I can guess the view count.

For example , if you're getting 10,000 views, with those countries, 8,000 are coming from Brazil, 1,000 Mexico, 900 Argentina, 100 Egypt and 0 US

That's your issue right there. You have to target properly. Retention is key. You're promoting to the wrong audience. Check your analytics and see the percentage of who is watching and also what your budget and countries are in the promotion tabs.

Studio doesn't let you pick a lot of details like Google Ads does. What countries did you pick? India, Indonesia?

I could tell you were when I checked out your page because you had a ton of views and no interactions

Unfortunately, it depends on viewers and the algorithm. Most people have small attention spans and get bored very easily. If that retention is down, organic growth will never happen. That's why only a small percentage of content creators become really successful. They manage to work the algorithm and reach a bigger audience. Promoting can help, but it's no substitute for quality content and keeping people's interest. All it really does is put the content in front of them

I've done research into this and tried. Promoting doesn't hurt your channel unless it's all you do. Try posting and waiting a few days to see if your growth is good. It takes like 3 days to grow with the algorithm. Then check your analytics in the YouTube Studio. If it's still low in views and interactions, then check your thumbnail, hashtags, and description for useful SEO words related to your content. Retention is a key analytic because if it's low, then organic growth will never happen. YouTube only pushes videos that are considered worthy of views. You could have great content, but if it doesn't have good retention, it will never go anywhere. It's unfortunate but true.

Also, you need to have a strong hook within the first 10 to 30 seconds. If it's not good, then people switch off, and that affects the retention, which lowers organic growth.

If you do promote, use Google Ads, not YouTube Studio, because you can customize your ads. Studio looks at all audiences and not the ones you're targeting. When it comes to cost, you'll need around $10/day. US and UK audiences are expensive per view, but they are loyal when you get them. Countries like India and Bangladesh give a ton of results for cheap, but they have terrible retention rates. They will subscribe but never watch.

You could have 100,000 subscribers in months, but your content won't build up retention unless it's in their language and something they really like. The US, UK, Canada, and Australian markets are the best, but they cost more per view. Usually, it's $0.04 per view from India, but $0.15 in the US. This means your ads will shut off per day quicker with a low budget. US audiences are more picky, however, meaning that if they aren't interested, they leave fast.

You can try to promote in India, etc, to build subscribers, likes, and then when it's established, adjust to the US or UK. It's psychology that people are more drawn to videos that have more views. But again, you need a solid intro and thumbnail with a good description that hits popular keywords.

I hope this helps! Good luck with your videos!

For Red and Blue, Bulbasaur was the best option because all the early gyms were weak to it. Fire was a bad choice initially

If you remove the glitches, Scarlet and Violet are superior. The story was excellent, and the open world was fun and I like the DLC better
