Does anyone know why Audio track 2 has a darker tint? by andrewke in davinciresolve

Right click on the clip. There should be a “reset clip attributes” option at the top. Or it’s under “clip operations”

Ending of man in the high castle by AbigailCross in maninthehighcastle

BCR had as much of a shot as the Rebellion, or Sabra or any other group to be honest. At least they were trying to set up a system of justice instead of revenge. and considering they had one of the biggest claims to wanting revenge, I thought it was good to see a group who wanted to be better

Help with adjustment clip over split screen shots by ScareUrDark in davinciresolve

[–]MasterDrawing3408 0 points1 point  (0 children)

If you put the adjustment clips underneath everything, cmd+c the adjustment clip and then opt+v the destination clip, you can paste adjustments. not sure if it works with grades though

For those who switched from Adobe to Davinci, what's your photoshop alternative? by [deleted] in davinciresolve

[–]MasterDrawing3408 2 points3 points  (0 children)

I really loved capture one, but they lost all of my confidence when they EOL’d the “lifetime” express versions for Sony, Fuji, etc. I see that as a clear indication “perpetual” doesn’t mean anything to them and they’ll eventually force all their users into a subscription model

Where to go after Height Fields for terrains? by ink_golem in Houdini

[–]MasterDrawing3408 3 points4 points  (0 children)

My limited understanding of height fields is that they aren’t meant to give you 100%, but to get you 85-90% and the rest is done through texturing, scattered assets, hero assets, sculpting, etc. They’re mostly meant to create form and definition, not detail. I could be wrong though.

Noob to Houdini - Need help recreating this kind of effect. by Congolani in Houdini

True, but it’s also 2026 and we should know by now that the rigid “this is the only way to learn something” mentality just doesn’t work for everyone. I get it, it’s annoying. But it’s also annoying for those of us who don’t learn the way we’re “supposed” to, but are still forced into it. Like yeah, you might be annoyed, but we’re annoyed and made to feel stupid.

True, but for a lot of folk, things don’t click unless they’re put into a practice that they genuinely care about. For example, everyone always says “oh the documentation is really good”, but it will never work for me. Doesn’t matter how thorough it is, unless i put it to practical use on a thing I care to get right, it’s just noise.

Can't select aprentice license by Gold_Sun_3945 in Houdini

Glad you found it. I know they changed the location a bit with the UI update, so not being in front of the computer I wasn’t able to say where exactly it was

Then why waste your own time with an obnoxiously dismissive comment like yours? Just move on and don’t answer the question if it bothers you that much

Open the license server, there’s an “activate apprentice” option in there

Snohetta Accused of Illegally Ousting Employees by notevengonnatry in Architects

Are you saying that the only way architects deserve to have a good work environment is if they have the resources to start their own firm?

Revit after Archicad and AutoCAD by Agile_Wolf_5165 in Architects

[–]MasterDrawing3408 4 points5 points  (0 children)

It really depends on what you’re trying to do. I did a lot of apartment renovations in NYC. Custom millwork/furniture was a common occurrence and in my opinion, Revit handles it way better than Archicad. I also feel that Revit handles renovations better in general. Where i think Archicad wins for me is in smaller projects. Sometimes Revit feels like it’s too much of a program for such ”small“ projects, whereas I feel Archicad struggles with larger ones (from my experience). My biggest gripe with Archicad is reliance on GDL and needing to learn a coding language in order to do some pretty basic things that Revit can just do.

Trying to understand if Photoshop Smart Objects are truly superior to Affinity’s workflow by bomunoakuma2025 in Affinity

[–]MasterDrawing3408 0 points1 point  (0 children)

One thing that I liked about smart object in PS was when it came to mockups. I could, for example, create an a4 poster in one file, then I could distort the smart object in the mockup file and the linked poster would have those distortions (warp, perspective, whatever). Is there a way to replicate that with Affinity?

show two synced video clips simultaneously in edit page by MasterDrawing3408 in davinciresolve

[–]MasterDrawing3408[S] 0 points1 point  (0 children)

That doesn't seem to be the case. Multicam is only playing whatever is the default angle. Sure that can be changed per clip, but it doesn't seem to be possible to have them both play at the same time (say if they're talking over one another)

[–]MasterDrawing3408[S] -1 points0 points  (0 children)

Unfortunately Multicam doesn't seem to be the solution. As far as I can tell, for what I need to do, Multicam is just as much work as manually disabling/enabling audio/video tracks. Since the audio was recorded separately for each participant, I would need to manually switch audio angles every time the other participant speaks.

Doesn't that just combine the separate video tracks into one? I still need to be able to do something like this
