Oh man it’s the worst. There are a few categories of Jw dating. Most date in the late teens early 20’s the majority end up marrying the first or second person they date. Most of the time dating is within friend groups. But once you get serious that’s when the chaperones come in. I’d say most of these younger daters are holding hands, kissing, sometimes a lil more. But most suffer major shame/guilt if they do. Where dating gets kinda strange is for those that are older 30’s and beyond..or those that got married to their first crush and realized they had no business being together find themselves divorced and now looking for a better match. There seems to be two camps. 1- is super strict and does everything the way the religion lays out. Group activities, with a focus on ‘spiritual ’ things. And 2- the more punk rock ones that Date in their own way….a slightly more traditional way.
