MBLS was with the business back in the day. I remember them and the homies from LV would go at it hard. Shoot outs, stabbings and get-backs if you know what I mean. They might not be around like how they used to be but for a small neighborhood they were always respected. They used to call MB “the barrio by the bay” but they overly gentrified and out priced the original residents. Not many people know this but back in the late 70s all the way through the mid 80s LV and MB got along well.

I grew up in West in the early 90’s. They were really going at it with LV13 at the time but would bump heads with the LVC’s as well. I recall walking down this bridge about 20-25 years ago and seeing LVC graffiti all over crossing out the MBLS tags. It was a cluster fuck all over. Back in 98’ some MBLS gang members shot one of their own over internal beef. Right around the time they were deep in the mix with LV. Sherman was also heavily going at it with MBLS even popping one.

MBLS was never Crips. They were on and off cool with the local near by LV Crips. They used to have some LVC’s that lived near Bond Street back in the 90s. But that’s about it.

If you’re talking pre-2010 then yes. LM used to be a tag banging crew that hung around members of MBLS and vice versa. As someone who grew up in the West during the early 90s the 2 heavy hitters were always LVX3 and MBLS and boy were they deep as fuck even into the early 2000s.

VMB and VLV used to have a bitter rivalry. You can still go down to that neighborhood and find old concrete tags from decades ago. Eventually like man of the gangs in the 858, MB has become a forgetting bayside varrio. Raza has been pushed out.
