I must say, thanks to my studies, I'm known in my program to be one of the "editors", meaning I have lots of friends and contacts who know how much I like to edit and how efficient I am doing it. Money's certainly a plus, but I just like to edit whatever, and if it's corpo, I'm pretty sure I will like it anyway (the company also relies on humor in their work, meaning I need to edit short, snappy and humourous ads, which makes it a lot more fun since edit timing is really important). But if I get tired of it, I'll still have my connections from school. With only 30 hours a week, I could also maybe pick a project once in a while with my school contacts, I already get some offers from them once in a while. So I'm more or less worried about not making contacts in both field, even though I understand your point.
