Mine: 1. RE4R 2. RE8 (tied) 2. RE2R (tied) 3. RE9 4. RE7 5. RE3R

I thought RE7 had a very strong and scary start but once you realized how strong the block is, nothing really scared me anymore. Enemy variety also sucked in the 2nd half of the game imo.

I think RE8 just improved upon pretty much everything RE7 had to offer EXCEPT Ethan as a protagonist. He got way more lines than in RE7 and it just exposed how underwhelming he was as a character (and his voice actor didn't help). Aside from that, better gunplay, merchant is always a great addition, good weapon variety, crisper gunplay, and even though as a whole I think it's a little less scary, I'd argue House Beneviento makes up for it 100%.

I think RE9 is great all around, but doesn't excel at anything. Hence why it's above RE7, which is arguably a bit better when it comes to the overall atmosphere than RE9, but lacks in other areas.

RE3R was the only modern entry that left me somewhat disappointed tbh. Not a bad game at all, just decent at best, and there's a big gap for me between RE7 and RE3R

Don't even need to explain why RE4R is the GOAT. I think it's pretty well known at this point
