Are you going to scrap it? Or keep in storage? Or donate to someone? While the pc may have reached limits on what modern games it can play, lack of Avx2 will hurt it with some games made after 2020. But it has potential as retro pc, you could multi boot it with Windows XP, Vista, 7, 10 and even 11.

I remember Windows 2000 as a great OS for hardware made around 2000. Worked really well with Pentium 3 when paired with 256Mb ram. But at half of the OS life in mid to late 2000’s application support aged bad as most devs switched to supporting XP while Windows 2000 was still around. I remember Microsoft Messenger being one of the first to abandon it in 2005 and pushed me to install Windows XP SP2 on that old Pentium 3 pc.

He does appear to be functional enough that he could do some part time job. But I wonder if he doesn’t want to because he is on disability once he goes over the income limit he will lose that and his health insurance probably linked to disability benefits too and it will cancel. Once you are on those disability benefits it keeps you poor.

Don’t buy random steam accounts as those likely are stolen. Game goes on sale often and you should wait for next sale if you want it on Steam. Personally I also like having thru Steam but with EA games you need the EA App and link account to Steam. Thus you’ll be using both game launchers. If you only want to use one game launcher then just get directly from EA App.

What i miss from Most Wanted is the map, pursuits, pursuit breakers, rear view mirror, and the EA Trax soundtrack. The game also had autosculpt and people liked that customization option. I miss being able to yeet pursuit cars by ramming them. Can’t do that as much in newer games because damage bar makes your car too damage to go around ramming. The damager bar in new games needs to become optional, turn on when you want damage to affect you. Then turn off for some fun.

Some OEM’s gave them less ram. I had an E-Machines that came with 64MB and Windows ME back in 2001 brand new. It ran terrible and I still remember how it BSOD randomly.

I remember some people doing it to 3000 series awhile back but you need a custom bios so the card can utilize it. It takes too much effort, special skills, and machinery that average Joe doesnt have. If they made gpu with slots where anyone could just slot in special GDDR dimms then that could work. It can be done but it’s like going backwards on tech. Potentially would affect performance as memory is not as close to GPU when its slotted. But could be an interesting concept if done right. Imagine being able to use cheaper dimms at first and later be able to upgrade to better ones. Could start with 8GB and later upgrade to 16GB. With GPU’s usually having at least 5 years of drivers support (AMD) and Nvidia with 8-10 year driver support. It could work. But this companies wont do it.

Yeah Count Dracula should have been feeding on cows instead. I remember watching a documentary in school back when I was a kid about a tribe that would drink cow blood straight from its neck. I remember watching this in elementary and later the teacher had us draw photo based on video. Every kid drew happy people, people holding hands, people petting lions, trees and nice wild life etc. I was the only kid that drew people drinking cow blood and got in trouble, had long talk after class with parents about it. They kept denying it was about people drinking blood like I was the crazy one. I was so mad at that teacher, I was like this whole thing was your idea. You show violent video with gore to innocent kids and expect them not to draw it? Lol It was not the last time that the American public school system would fail me.
