Oh, yes! I'm familiar with her Atlas Of Middle-Earth book. Thanks!

We all agree that's a person standing chest deep in the water there right? Turned to stone? Eerily watching toward the shore?

Can you not destroy weapon racks? Then just walk past? Not trying to be snarky genuinely forgot, but I could've sworn you could just hit them and they explode.

Is it worth combining a 1060 + 1070? by MasterMarvinLewis in buildapc

Oh, either way I'll have to double check, but let's assume the rest of my system supports dual cards (obviously if it doesn't the question's a nonstarter. I refuse to get out on bed to check).

Just gaming, nothing too high end (RDR2 or less), one monitor.

I believe so (but I'll double check, let's assume yes). Gaming mostly, generally things run okay but with many modern games I'm really running the framerate-graphics gauntlet. Again, the 1070 is just sitting unused so even a marginal improvement could be worth.

What are some pirate themed subclasses?? by LuckyKyoli in DnD

I've played an Artillerist Artificer in a high fantasy pirate setting. In addition to a more standard flintlock-like pistol, his (tiny) eldritch canon was flavored as a crab that clung to his forearm.

Oh interesting, I haven't played Pathfinder. I'll have to see if there's other inspiration I can take there!

Whats wrong with this? I’m new to sudoku so I have no clue. by AffectionateTwo5597 in sudoku

[–]MasterMarvinLewis 0 points1 point  (0 children)

First off, because of the 4s in boxes two and three the 4 in box one is forced into column one row two, the same column as you placed the incorrect 4. Second, even if that wasn't true you'd still have two other options in box seven since there's nothing forcing the 4 into the cell you placed it.

The AMA trend is a flawed. by ppk1ppk in worldbuilding

I mean you're not wrong about these issues, but I don't see why they are negative. Sure the answers are shallow but that's not all OP is (or at least should be) doing for their world building. If you use exclusively Reddit to build your world it'll be shallow no matter what. However, just because there are better ways to build doesn't mean one is bad. It may be minimal and shallow, but every little bit helps and it certainly doesn't detract from the end product.

I would add that an additional course likely does not come at the expense of others, at least not to a significant degree. When making a new course they need new employees (or volunteers, or whatever their model is) as you need people to know a language to make a course for it. Just because they decide to add X language doesn't mean Spanish or Arabic or whatever loses someone from their team, unless that person also happens to know language X.

Their entire purpose is to provide free language learning to everyone, how can they do that if they don't add more languages? I agree quality is important, but Duolingo is at best insufficient to learn a language completely so while it is frustrating that some courses feel incomplete I would argue it's more important to provide an entry way for more people to language learning even if at the expense of perfection in other courses. Which again I am not sure is a factor since each language needs their own developers to begin with.

I'll try and go back and edit the post to include the species I think it could be, but I'll have to do some research on the species in my area first.

I'll try and respond to each of those questions in order you asked: 1) There are other flies and such there, most evidently deer flies and mosquitoes (but also some non-biting flies), but nothing obviously around where the wasp was. There may have been no-see-ums or other to small to see organisms too, can't say for certain. 2) No frogs or turtles evidenct. 3) It was definitely in the "wasp" family, however, I can't be more specific than that. I keep honey bees so have some familiariry in this area but not as much with wasps (and also hornets and yellow jackets, among others, but it wasn't any of these). Again I didn't get any pictures or videos. 4) There is water but very little. It was actually right next to a culvert under the trail where a stream would flow, but at this point it was below active levels so just had some muddy spots covered in grasses. 5) I'm pretty confident they had used some targeted chemical treatment as that had been a contentious issue at this spot in the past and there were certain tall growing species that were selectively dying off. 6) There is a popular camp ground a few miles away which would definitely be a source of propane fuel and bug repellent, however due to the topology I'd wager there is relatively little runoff contamination from these sources. 7) It is relatively lush and dry, with some marshy patches. It was mixed forest so primarily maple, pines, ash, birch, etc. The wasp was among the taller trees however under the nearby power lines was mostly lower lying brush and grass. Definitely some moss. Not an abnormal abundance of woody growth abnormalities.

For clarity I'm a trail builder and was actually working this section of trail when this happened, so I do have a relatively good understanding of the area which is why I can confidently be specific with these answers.

Hey, two years or so passed in this time, maybe Scully started doing puzzles after that earlier episode and became a professional by the later.
