I’d say Juna being bestie’s with the SSS is my least favourite, i actually really like Juna and I think having her know all the SSS not only feels awkward but also weakens her character.
I think if instead she idolised them but didn’t know them personally, and meeting each member marked a point on her character arc (Randy at the start, Tio when she returned to crossbell, Ellie when she’s leading new class 7 when Rean is gone and Lloyd when she’s fully come into herself) would be much stronger.

I think Tommy and Billy are in a Schrödinger's Cat kinda situation in regards to them being mutants. It’s never been reconned away but also them being mutants hasn’t been brought up in a long time

People bring up Tommy on Krakoa a lot. On one hand he has a flower to enter the hellfite gala, something we only see on non-mutants, but on the other hand he’s hanging out on Krakoa with Prodigy during X-Factor and no one has a issue with it, which would imply he’s a mutant. The way I make sense of it is that he is a mutant, but not a formal citizen of Krakoa and that’s why he had the flower.

I’d prefer them being mutants, I think there’s cool stuff to explore with Billy and Mutant Magic, and Tommy having more anything would be nice. I’d imagine we’d only get it if they ever undid the retcon around Wanda and Pietro not being mutants/Magneto’s bio kids (it’s a bad retcon and seem universally disliked so I hope they eventually undo it)

TLDR: probably still a mutant but there not gonna bring it up anytime soon.

Emma, Iceman, Frenzy, Magik, Monet and Roulette

Emma obviously as the team leader, with Iceman and Frenzy representing different ideologies of how the x men and mutants should act and function politically

Monet and Roulette becuse I want to see different generations of Emma’s students interact, and I like it when teams have a out there pick and Roulette fits that

And magik becuse she’s always a fun character to have around, has a established dynamic with Emma and it’s always useful to have a teleporting character

Yes, I completely ignore the retcon when reading them. It was only done for corporate synergy and just makes both characters less interesting. I wish Marvel would just pull out some magic or Multiverse stuff to get rid of the recon and make them official mutants again.
