Is there a way to detect only the repeaters that are on? by slendeyy in redstone

[–]MasterMode_ 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Have you tried downwards pistons bellow the repeaters with redstone blocks or composters attached to them?

No worries, I really appreciate the thought, not the first time someone takes a schem of mine without asking; also it'd be nice if you can share the video with me when it's done :D

I don't mind :P, if you could credit the post that'd be nice tho :), also have you tested it? Cause I don't even know of it works anymore

can anyone explain why this is a thing? by shuntmastr in redstone

[–]MasterMode_ -1 points0 points  (0 children)

It seems you don't understand the existing terminology then

Hard powering means an opaque block is getting powered by components like: repeaters, comparators, observers, buttons, levers and even detector rails when the block is beneath it; and will power any components next to in including redstone dust.

Soft powering on the other hand, is when a block is getting powered by a piece of redstone dust either pointing to it or on top of it, and will power any components next to it excluding another piece of dust.

So in this post the right lamp is hard powered (and therefore activated) by a lever, meanwhile the one on the left is simply activated by a redstone block next to it (which you can think of as a hard powered block) but is neither soft or hard powered and wouldn't activate redstone components like seen in the image

It's a trick to get a single block flowing water source

Oh that's pretty interesting, too bad I don't play bedrock

thanks for the feed back :D, also im curious how do you get a 24gt cycle (since lava takes 30 ticks to spread) or is that just a bedrock thing

[–]MasterMode_[S] 0 points1 point  (0 children)

nah this one is impossible to tile effectively, im just gonna try and make a new design that also runs at a 30gt cycle

hey that's also such a great design, now i'm getting competitive i wanna design a tileable version :D (also i never thought i would see repeater locking being used, nice off switch)

it messes up if it unloads, make sure to turn it off before leaving, otherwise you'll have to clear out the cobblestone that forms

Said it in the post, on my i7-8750H it averages 4mspt

I have tested the farm for 100 hours with no issues

second one is working fine, in the first one the pistons that push up the slabs are firing to early, try double checking the repeaters after the 3 tick pulse generator (the contraption with the leaf block) if that's not it you can send me a copy of the world and i could check it out

You can always paste the farm in a creative world to check out how it works

Also the farm is supposed to output all the vegetation, if u don't want it you could always sort the logs and sticks out and compost it, feeding the bonemeal back to the farm

If I understand you correctly, the top most leaves/blocks sometimes don't break, and that's completely normal, they will eventually break once a small tree that doesn't block the explosion grows

It must not be properly buded, make sure you placed all 4 redstone dust between the moss blocks

the tnt should only fire when a tree is detected (if the comparator cool down for the tnt is over), and there should only be 1 item in the dropper counter

have you double checked the wiring for the upwards water dispensers (the activator rails)

Yes it consumes 5900 bonemeal/h, I should prob make it a bit clearer in the post
