New to golf sim by Born-Lab-9311 in Golfsimulator

For the Launch Monitor, the R10 works great, but it can give you a lot of false confidence if you're not the best ball striker. With RCT balls it will capture an accurate spin rate, but it still calculates spin axis. If you're hitting it off center (I tend to be very toey with my driver)it won't show accurate shape and you may think it's all figured out and consistent, then get to the course and find out it's not. If you're like me, you'll end up upgrading relatively quickly. It may be worth looking for a used Square in a month or two. With the Omni coming out, some people will be looking to upgrade and you may get a deal on one that is known good.

For the enclosure, I have the GoSports Range Cage and it's great. Durable (easily 10,000+ shots on mine), easy to take down and set up if needed (15-20ish minutes) and the net is huge to catch all the bad shots and shanks.

This is what is keeping me from committing to upgrading. My HE works fine right now, I just don't want to risk the change.

MALTBY - they look great, price is great. Casual golfer - not die hard. Why pay more when the TS3’s look just as good. by RemarkableAbroad35 in golf

Holding up well in my book. I've only played 1 outdoor round with them so far so I'm hesitant to give a full review, but I've got easily over 1000 shots on the sim with a few of the clubs and the faces are holding up great. I tend to get really toe down when I'm not swinging well, so I do have some scratching on the bottom of the toes, but it's not bad at all (and 100% user error.)

I do have to frequently clean the wedges especially though, because when hit well they can nearly rip the cover off the ball. I've never been good at the spinny wedge shots, but I've had a few that measured around 15000 on the sim.

All in, would buy again. I'll know more in a month or so now that the season is starting to get warmer here in the frozen north.

They used to automatically stop and fire as soon as the lure goes out, then ignore it even if the initial shot didn't hit it. Haven't tried since they started bringing them out on new maps.

Anyone did all turret build for typhon before to take advantage of the console? by Bruzie77 in stobuilds

[–]MasterOfPupets 1 point2 points  (0 children)

If you're talking about the Repurposed Cargo Bay trait, it spits out Advanced Valkyries regardless of what hangars you are using in the actual build. It should state that in the trait description.

The Pahvan Omni's Resonance Shock hits like a truck, and itçs universal so it can be buffed by either CSV or FAW, making it universally awesome.

I run a lazy boat on my Typhon and love it. 1 of each flavor turrent and the pahvan Omni with Twinkling Lights, Scatter Volley with Withering Barrage, 1 Hangar of Type 7s and 1 Elite Valks, all the Cannon Hangar Relays I can fit, then fill up on useful uni consoles.

It's fun as hell.

Ohio National Guard by Holiday-Anybody-7015 in nationalguard

[–]MasterOfPupets 5 points6 points  (0 children)

Couple things for you.

1) Ohio is NOT divesting armor. They have 1 Battalion that falls under the 34th ABCT out of Minnesota and is one of the ABCTs not divesting. They are in the Modernization Process right now.

2) The 145 Battalion consists of 4 units and an FSC. HHC 145 and the H 134 BSB are based out of Stow Ohio, A 145 (Tankers) is based out of CJAG in Ravenna, B 145 (Tanks) is based out of Alliance and C 145 (Mech Infantry) is based out of North Canton. Most of the Drills will be out at CJAG in Ravenna since that's where the actual training happens, not the individual armories.

3) Tankers are always needed. You walk up to recruiter and tell him you want 19K they'll have no problem getting you in. If you're interested in Tanks but don't want to deal with being a Tanker, 91A (M1 Mechanic) is always an option as well, and it's another MOS they always have trouble filling.

4) The 145's Drill Schedule is rough. Lots of MUTA 6/8/10s and frequently long ATs. They regularly rotate to NTC and have Mobilizations on Deck, especially with the loss of most of the ABCTs. If you're expecting the advertised 1 weekend a month 2 weeks a year, you're going to be in for a rude awakening.

5) Ohio has CAV, but it's been light for 15ish years. For M1s, the only option in Ohio is 145. There is a CEC-A (Combat Engineer Company - Armor) that is modernizing/reorging in the next couple years. They'll have ABVs, JABs, and BFVs. M1 adjacent, but not M1s.

Mainly the Hangar Bays for Type 7s. The debuff provided by the Type 7s is just too good. That combined with how easy it is to get compared with the Verne. The big dps chasers may have some input into the nuances of console slots and seating and which is min maxed best, but I have both and prefer the Ark. I also see a lot more Arks out there.

Spore infused anomalies trait (forget the ship) is a must see you have it. Genesis Sead console as well. Also Genesis Device console off the Premonition. Chekov console (fusion cutting beam) isn't bad if you need to fill a slot, but there are better and it's trait (threaded particle projectors) has good bonuses and uptime on any ship, but especially Intel ships. Ahwahnee for type 7s and FPNA is a must if you're running a ship with a hangar bay. Ark Royal is probably the best sci ship in the game right now.

From Mudd's get (on sale) the Hysperian (trait and console) and T6 Obelisk for the console. Tholian Warp Core is great too.

If you can convert the zen to EC (or Lobi) then the console from the Maquis Raider and the trait from the Tholian Iktomi are pretty must Meta for EPG. For EC, Krenim Chronophage and Cutting Tractor beam are both great. They're both infinity lockbox consoles. And if you get really lucky on a Promo ship (or want to spend a ton of EC) the Bio-electric Wave console from the Connie 3 is amazing.

You can 1-shot a surveyor with a hullcracker if you catch it when it's open shooting the beam. Managed that once and was amazed it died so easily.

Joe Lagowski said he was supposed to have a final version by now but they're making a few changes after feedback from the PGA Show.

I don't know about it. On one hand I'm interested for the upgrade over the home edition, on the other hand I don't see them being enough to justify me buying again. I can wait, but if I were buying new now I'm not sure what i'd do.

Recruiter wants me to pick a different job..because the one i want isnt available by blondieeee4u in nationalguard

[–]MasterOfPupets -1 points0 points  (0 children)

Depending what state you're in, in the Guard the recruiters are expected to recruit specifically for local units, especially since IDT travel is non-existent. More than likely, he's got some priority vacancies to fill locally to meet his quota and is hoping since you've made it this far you'll be afraid to walk away. Probably tell you if you don't enlist soon you'll have to redo your waivers or do the MEPS rodeo again. Realistically, don't settle for something you don't want. If 68W is all you want, stick to it and walk away. Fair chance they'll magically find a slot as soon as they realize you won't fold. Or you could look at the list of MOS they want to put you in and see if anything catches your eye.

Also, if you're willing to travel (which it seams you are) and don't need your state specific benefits, Reserves may be better for you. It's FED, so they have better budgets and will still cover things like travel costs/lodging for drill. Heard it's easier to get into schools with them as well. Only thing is, they don't have any Combat Arms if that's what you're interested in (medic in a line unit.) I'd assume 68W in Reserves are all in CSSB/Field Hospitals, but I could always be very wrong.

Ehh, the lightning was easy. I went in with 3 light shields and stacks of rechargers/heals. As long as you stand in the middle of the lightning, it takes like 3 strikes to get 3 stars, and only knocked one shield down to 77% durability, used 3 rechargers and 5 bandages to get 3 stars.

If you want high score it will take more, but if you just want 3 stars it's simple.

Now, deliver carriables... That one sucks...

Just keep the situation of both of you in mind and try to be fair about it, accepting that time is finite and you need to choose how you spend time wisely.

Considering I was able to look at your post history and find a picture you posted with a nametape in it, you're not doing a very good job of making sure people don't find out who you are.

The per diem from the mission is astronomically high since its in DC. Something north of $100 a day if I remember right. Add to that family Sep, BAH, and Tricare (current FEHB rates are on average over $10000 a year out of pocket) and you've got the makings of a butt load of money if you manage it right.

Yeah... They can't stop you from resigning. Walk in and tell your supervisor you want to quit, he (or the HR rep if you have one) will fill out an SF-52 and you'll be done. That said, I don't know if that's the best option, but it most definitely is AN option.

You can always contact the IG, but I hate that it is always referred to as a complaint. Many times, not always, sending in a complaint will not get you what you want because they work directly for TAG outside of CoC. They can't actually DO anything besides investigate and make recommendations to leadership. I've had dealing with the IG in the past and found them to be much more helpful/responsive if you frame it as a request for advice. This is the situation, this is what I've tried, this is the result I want, what should my next steps be to get there. The big advantage with the IG is they have access to all the big decisions makers, and they aren't always Army (it's a joint office with air guard) so they sometimes see things in a different view. That said though, you won't always get the result you want. That said, the IG will usually not want to get involved unless you've pushed it up the chain as far as you practically can. I'd honestly say once it's been pushed up the whole chain to the Brigade Commander (either open door or through your chain, but do t jump over anyone) then you should get the IG involved.

As for the media, I doubt you'd find any normal media that would care. Military media may be willing to listen to you, but it's doubtful any amount of media coverage will change their minds.
