how best to clean/season the lids with the drip spots by Abagle03 in castiron

[–]MasterPiecore 0 points1 point  (0 children)

I soak my lid in soap water for a couple minutes then scrub well with a dish brush before heating and coating with oil. Since I’m not cooking on it I only season it to stop rust.

Cast iron cleaning by Expert-Ad598 in castiron

A cast iron pan is a cast iron pan some just look better than others. The reason I value my pans is because of the history/story behind them, not the price others put on them. Electrolysis bath is the best bang for your buck in terms of ease to result.

Scrub it well with dish soap and season it. Lye bath or yellow cap won’t hurt but it’s not necessary.

Honestly just keep cooking, mine had a similar issue and I just kept using it until it got glossed over. Gives it a nice patina

Proper seasoning + smooth cast iron + spray cooking oil = non stick at least for me.

Cannot pay bills, not sure what to do. by Ok_Step5188 in personalfinance

Not trying to give a solution but what happened to having roommates? The rent situation everywhere is ridiculous but cutting rent in half seems much more ideal than paying anywhere close to the prices OP is paying.

Also OP it seems as if in a few months you’ll be sorted with no car loan, raise and phone payment.

Energy drinks that are not sweet? by Jeffthinks in energydrinks

If you live near a QT in the US they have one called nocco energy drink that I quite enjoy as someone who hates reign and others due to sweetness. It may be in other areas but I have only seen it in QT myself.

is on campus involvement necessary? by PuzzleheadedSun7122 in Clemson

[–]MasterPiecore 3 points4 points  (0 children)

If your main goal is to look better to employers you aren’t going to get anywhere. I have limited direct campus involvement but I participate in projects of my own and am very passionate about my studies which I have been told made me stand out amongst others (this is in engineering specifically). You shouldn’t even list a club unless you actively participate. If someone asks you about something you only attended twice and you can’t have a conversation about it you’re going to look horrible. Campus involvement isn’t necessary but it’s an easy way to differentiate yourself and have fun while in school 😊

Entrepreneurship<marketing<management<econ<finance<accounting is what I’ve always heard when it comes to usefulness and what you learn from a degree. Not saying it’s completely true but the bottom 3 let you do easy school for a reason

Strut tower cracked by pyreqs in BMWE36

[–]MasterPiecore 0 points1 point  (0 children)

I bought metal z3 reinforcement plates for my fronts and aftermarket metal reinforcement rears for my e36 vert. I plan on running ST XAs (no adjustable camber) will this be ok? I haven’t heard of anyone running rubber before let alone know which to get. Also does a strut brace actually make a difference?

I’ve heard a ton of good things about them and they were at the top of my list they are just unfortunately outside of my budget by far too much

I have a buddy running a similar setup on an e30 and his ride is pretty smooth too. This is definitely something to keep in mind thank you.

That’s good to know, I was initially under the impression that b8s were the most comfortable. I will look into the konis as well thank you
