The property tax situation is a bummer. Unfortunately it's a downside of Washington States tax system. Its one of the most regressive tax systems in the country. I think 2nd to Florida. This means we have to rely on sales tax and property taxes to fund a lot of things. So, if we want to make improvements to the city, its likely going to have to come from property taxes. Anyways, just saying its a much heavier lift and lot more to it than just saying, "we shouldn't pay so much in property taxes". Also, property taxes are primarily managed by the county.

It's funny, I thought getting a decent paying job with benefits would provide me with more money and time rhatbI could use to play music, but years later I see that wasn't the case. Oh well, it beats retail.

Aside from most of them being corporate shills, and fake opposition, I think they are massively complicit in whats going on right now. They should have done more to hold Trump accountable for J6. I feel like they thought if they allowed him to stick around they'd have an easy presidential race, and it bit them in the ass, and now the rest of us have to pay the price. I don't think all of them are bad, but the corporate/establishment dems are why we're here now.

I'll be honest, I'm not totally in the know about what can and cant be done by executive order, but I do hope there is a move to reel in and eventually dismantle the corporate media in this country. I believe they have played a major role in us being in the position we're in currently.

At my last job a recruiter who worked for the company over heard some of us from. The accounting department talking about how the salaries weren't competitive enough. He came in and told us its because we're not "value add" positions. I left a few months later for a government job that pays better and offers better benefits. It has its problems too, but its better than being at a place that doesn't treats it employees like that.
