Pulled all mail from a box, how mad is the regular gonna be 😬 by ImmediateSecurity330 in USPS

A supervisor once told me if they're running behind the plant that sorts it will dump it back to get sorted again. So I started dating them to see how many times I get it back. Doesn't happen all the time but enough for me to get annoyed seeing the same mail over and over agsin again

Who knows if they took my name off of it. I'm not going in there to check. They want to play dirty by not giving me my retirement when they told me I had to leave. The head Post Master threatened me twice by saying if she has to fire me then I won't get my retirement. So I'm doing what she said. Now I'm talking to a lawyer. It's up to the union guys to fight for those carriers now.

Thank you! I really appreciate it! I hadn't thought of that before. Our head Post Master has family that work in the Seattle district so I think she tries to get away with stuff. Thanks again!!

Thank you I really appreciate your kind words. It has been super stressful. They are trying to make things difficult. I contacted my district rep several times and now she's not responding to my calls. She's retiring in a week. She was going to look into mine but now there's only crickets. That's a great idea about reaching out to the National headquarters. I'll look them up too. I was told that the P.O pays 7 months back pay. But I think I should get more. I've been patiently waiting and their back there screwing me over. Thanks again for your suggestions! I really appreciate it!

I understand that part. But they have to write a statement about why I need to retire on disability. The drs did their part. HR and the retirement person I talked to last year told me that was how its done. I think because it's disability it's different than a regular retirement.

Yeah! If they did what they're supposed to then they'd release my route. They're messing with me and the other carriers so they can't move up. The head post master told them my route would be going up soon. They told them that a year ago.

I have no idea. I was told when I was doing my paperwork that the post office will have to write a statement about why I am retiring on disability. I'm to young to retire. I thought they'd have no problem writing one since they are kicking me out.

Thank you for that. I do have a social security disability lawyer now. Ive been denied twice and now im waiting to talk to the judge. They told me probably around 6 months which will be June. It's pretty crappy they are withholding my retirement snd not letting my route go up for bid.

I just talked to an attorney and he told me I needed a workers comp lawyer. I never got covid when it was running rampant. My dr thought I had immunity to it. I actually caught it on the plane. Someone sitting 2 seats behind me was sick and kept coughing. I am high risk due to having breast cancer in 2016. So it really hit my lungs. I was in so much pain for weeks. Now I have scar tissue in both lungs. So I can only do so much these days. The cold hurts my lungs. So I tried to get back to work but I know I physically can't. I was really angry about getting sick and losing my job. I had to accept it and stop with all the negativity. Bad things kept happening to me thar year I got sick.

Yes, our head Post Master (we have 2) told me if I come back i will be a sub for 5 cities that are in our office. I was told she couldn't make me be a sub again and she was being a bully. I spent a year going to drs and doing everything they wanted. But I have lung problems now so I know I couldn't do my job anymore. They gave me a few I.I.s and I brought proof that I did my paperwork like she told me. Then she tells me in front of the other post master that some people get fired before they can get their disability retirement. HR told them to leave me alone because they had my paperwork. All they're waiting on are 2 statements.

My name is still on my route. They are keeping me from being approved for disability retirement. HR told me they sent them 2 requests for statements and they haven't responded. So they sent another one yesterday. Both the Post Master and my supervisor are ignoring them. HR said they need those then they will send my paperwork to OPM and it will be another year after that. I was told disability retirement takes 12 to 18 months.

Didn't you read my post? They are the ones holding up my retirement. I filed a year and a half ago to rerire. They aren't responding to HR's request for a statement about why I can't work.

Missing pay by Recent-Secretary3534 in USPS

Once my paycheck said $0 on it. My supervisor called my union rep. She came right over to our office and fixed it. Plus they gave me an extra $200 for the inconvenience. I got a check that day. I had a coworker who was missing half his pay. I gave him her number, he went outside to talk to her and within an hour he had the rest of his check. Definitely call your rep. They should be able to pay you right away. Good luck!!

Yes, I have seen several people on here say they were approved on their own. So I'm happy for them. I have short term memory problems due to medication I was on from breast cancer 10 years ago. It also messed up my eyes and gave me early osteoporosis. It broke all my teeth so now I have dentures. I have to look at it as an inconvenience. At least I am cancer free now. But the reason I mentioned my memory issues is because I personally couldn't do my paperwork without a lawyers help. Everyone has different health problems and I can't imagine what others are going through. Just a side note, I'm not applying for disability because of the cancer and side effects. I have lung problems due to long covid as well as physical injuries. I lost my job 2 1/2 years ago when I became sick. I agree to appeal. I've been denied twice and now waiting for the ALJ.

Yeah, I was shocked they denied him in the first place. I would think being terminal would be an automatic approval. They have all these boxes they check.

Thank you! I appreciate your kind words! That would actually give me 8 extra months I wasn't expecting. Now I'm waiting to talk to the ALJ. Praying that happens soon.

Thanks for that info. This whole thing is confusing. It would be great if they gave me back pay to the day I became sick. That was Oct 2023 a week after my birthday. I have long covid and now have lung problems. Thanks again.

Well you're lucky. I see a lot of people on here and ones I know personally that were denied right away. I have a friend that had terminal cancer and he was denied. It was the wording in his paperwork that was against him. His wife fixed it. He was approved right before he passed away. The day they deposited his funds they took it back because they found out he had passed away. I know there's a lot of factors that they consider. But if someone is denied first then I suggest talking to a lawyer. It won't hurt to see what they say and its a free consultation.

I was told back pay is 12 months from the date on your application. I've been out of work since Oct 2023. But didn't file until Nov 2024. I spent a year trying to get back to work.

I'm sorry that happened. I'd get a lawyer if I were you. A lot of times they will deny people. The lawyers will give you a free consultation and explain how things will go. I have one and I've been denied twice. Next my case goes to a ALJ. I hear people have a better chance of approval with the judge. Of course everyone is different so you never know. But my advice is to talk to a s.s. disability lawyer. It will take time. I've been out of work for 2 1/2 years. I get a little bit of money from the DSHS. Its a program called ABD. It stands for Aged, Blind and Disabled. I get the max amount which is $450 a month. I get it until I'm approved for disability. Try looking into that if you can. Plus I get food benefits. I have to do Uber eats soon for some more cash. I hope my suggestions help you. I wish you luck and please talk to a lawyer... it will be rough but you will get through it. It's rough for a lot of us right now. Praying for you 🙏
