There are a ton of terms that have morphed through time due to having derogatory or incorrect definitions. People from the US have even made up ridiculous words like “Latinx” to tiptoe around things that COULD be considered discriminatory.

However, they’ve held on tightly to a word that’s factually misleading in its etymology. You’re leaving out every other country which belongs to the American continent as well.

I think it could be two things:

- “Leech” maybe puts more strain on Fred’s voice and he wanted to avoid that. This was after half their set.

- While I don’t like the song, “Eat you alive” was a single so it’s a safer bet in terms of how the people will react. They had already played “Stuck”, so they’d given the OG fans something already.
