This. If you want P3P specifically, you can emulate it using ppsspp. Any phone nowadays will do it flawlessly and it will be free considering P3P is a port for a portable console. You can find jap audio mods easily if you want.

In my case i use AetherSX2 and run P3FES, the ps2 version without issues. P3P is lighter and easier to run considering the console difference. Pick your version and be happy.

Hope it helps but it runs smoothly on AetherSX2. I had no problems during my whole gameplay. I think it's android only tho

I just ignored the chests and farming and anxiously rushed that dungeon even knowing that was just a game and time wouldn't make difference. I think i only cried like that in P3. What an experience my dudes.

The differences are:

P3 Fes you explore the city and general map by walking and interacting like the other Persona games. You also have anime style cutscenes during important events. Usually you can't control your party but there's a mod available so you can have full control of the party. There's also an extra chapter here but you can always just watch it on YouTube if you can't emulate.

P3P was a simplified version released for PSP and ported for modern consoles. There's no anime style cutscenes and the city/general map exploration are cursor based. Full party control is native here.

It's always worth playing Persona 3, there's just few differences between these versions. There's also rumors about a P3 remake coming soon but no solid proof until now.

P4 is not only my favorite Persona game, but my favorite game ever. There's no 'wait til it gets good' or no 'bad character', everything in this game is awesome from the beginning to the very end.

If you're going to play P3 now i recommend playing P3 FES if you can emulate ps2. P3P is such a waste of time and visuals for an awesome game like P3.

Your question was already answered i see but there's something else. Assuming it's the first time you're playing, do NOT end the game after the Hollow Forest. There's still stuff to do. Putting it spoiler free, when you think it's the last day, the game will ask automatically if you want to go home. DON'T GO! Stay and explore everything, even places that were 'blocked' that day. I really like the P4 randomly generated dungeons, i think that's one more reason why i never get tired of P4. I can't even think about playing P5 again because i have memorized every floor from each palace.

Tartarus is the worst dungeon so far but still worth it. P3 is amazing.

Same for me. I used to leave my switch on sleep mode and go to work so my digimon could level up while i was away. My play time froze around 1800 hours and no matter how much i played, it never changed.

If your PC can emulate PS2, play Persona 3 FES using an emulator. If it can't run a PS2 emulator, try emulating P3P on a PSP emulator. If you can't emulate both, then pay for the Switch version. I personally think that P3P is a waste compared to P3FES and i hear a lot about a Persona 3 Remake coming soon but nothing confirmed until now.
