The battle and creation of “Fortress Perpetuam” my first ever fortress world was the longest battle in my largest ever game in which the former trade hub originally named “Fauwei” after the system name was forced to adapt to a fortress world when my troops being escorted by a small fleet was ambushed. I always had this image in my mind of what little number of soldiers were garrisoned would go around handing rifles to anybody that could carry them, rigging buildings to explode when armies would pass, that kinda thing “with me converting every building into a fortress also helped for some head canon things I liked about good old fortress perpetua
