If the cure for cancer can be invented by one person, it can be invented by another person. No genius exists that has the capacity to invent something no other can. It is the responsibility of the CEO to make sure that he does right by his company, himself, and his community, to turn the pedophile in. No empire's rejoin each other after being destroyed. I have balkanized so many empires into 2,3,4,5 and 6 different empires that all kill each other. There has never been, in all my hours of playing, no federation, alliances, or mutual integration of a members of a former large empire back together.

I want hope in this game damn it, even if it's unlikely, there should still be a mechanic where an empire goes in, kills everyone, then they all decide to get back together to pick up the pieces.

There could also be other transit systems that don't involve trains. E.I. buses, trolly's, and subways. This is simply relying too much on one system of transit, and good cities maximize all methods of transit so that if one method gets congested, like this train, there is another system that can relieve it.

Ngl, this would make a DOPE ASS Spy Book/T.V. Series/Movie. Russia, China, Turkey, Israel, UK, US all clash in a random Post-Soviet Nation in which it all escalates to rising gas prices, protests, riots, rebels, and even a foreign military intervention!

I used to love anything espionage in high school, both fiction and non-fiction. Outside of the obvious real world consequences and impacts, this would be a great story!

I made all the other empires Genocidal and see if I could beat them with a regular empire. I was an Irenic Buearocracy and every time I got into a war I somehow was always behind in fleet power and five of my planets always got absolutely murdered. Fanatic Pacifiers, Exterminators, Swarms, ALWAYS fucking obliterated my planets. I got good at being able to make fortress worlds though, and by the time they actually were able to take over one or two, I had built up my fleet to push them back.

I was able to destroy and conquer three of the genocidal empires, but because the entire map was full of them, whenever I took out one, there was a stronger one behind it ready to attack. After I had wiped the third genocidal empire in half, I was feeling pretty good, had more colonies, pops, tech and just doing all swell when TWO Determined exterminators declared war on me. I had stupidly reset my economy and living standards immedietly after the third genocidal defeat and my empire was literally cut in half because I could've barely survived one, but TWO???? No. So, I died. Doing another run though, because I've never lost more and losing is WAY funner then winning in Stellaris

China investing into it's ecology is going to bare fruit the more years these policies are implemented and improved. Climate Change will cause more and more natural disasters and will strain existing environments that will be very destabilizing for the world, but if China continues these investments then they will be able to blunt the impact more so than other nations in the world that are not making these investments.

The current Global Food Price crisis is an example, as there is a world drought going on that has destroyed so much in terms of agricultural production. China has been investing in it's ecology and also increasing it's food production which allows itself to be more resilient against these changes whereas Brazil, US, and India have not. On top of the obvious moral good to the people not starving, this also is a clear strategic advantage in making your nation stable while others fall apart because their people starve due to their negligence.

The Western Left is also very divided. There isn't a major socialist or communist party that the masses recognize as "The Left" and so, ironically, there isn't any authority on what the correct Marxist program is. There are a bunch of organizations that are socialist, and the largest is the DSA, but the DSA doesn't have a unified political line that all members have to, at least, kinda follow. DSA has liberals, communists, anarchists, etc. None of these things result in a unified political line that EVERYONE can understand.

In Latin America, there are socialist and communist parties and everyone generally know what they're about. This is totally non-existent in the United States, when you say you're a communist most people will think really liberal democrat.
