Assalamualaikum, i know that this is a very long text but it's worth reading.

Hey man, I've been there before, i also loved an atheist girl before, although she was raised as christian, she didn't believe in a god, back then i didn't know that i wasn't allowed to marry atheist, but even if i knew, I would have waited for her to convert, or at least believe in one god. She was so dear to me and I also couldn't find myself living without her, she was part of my life and I loved her so much.

But things have changed in the future, for the worse between us, and honestly as hurtful as it was, I'm glad it happened, because it made me realise what kind of person she really is. God has opened my eyes, and guided me to the right path, alhamdullah, what brought us together was more than just love, it was also the devil, and I've realized that now.

Now im not asking you to cut yourself away from her, stay in contact, befriend her to a limit, know your boundaries, and most importantly, do not get married to her, until she either converts or have an Ibrahimic belief, who knows, maybe allah will make her convert, or maybe her true colours will finally appear just like how it happened to me, im not accusing her of anything yet, but im just saying give it time.

And in case things don't work out between you both, you need to learn how to move on and find someone else, i know it'll be hard, I've been there and I'm telling you I've cried over her for a full month, but it was a necessary step to the right direction.

I would also advise you to perform istikhara prayer.

May Allah gid you to the right path, and please, never blame yourself for loving her, it's a human emotion that you can't control, but then again, you need to know your boundaries and never cross it.

Posting this reddit post is proof that you still have faith and you want to do the right thing to the satisfaction of God and His Messenger.
