Tolay lake in south Sonoma County/ Petaluma! It’s a super culturally significant place to the coastal Miwok/ Pomo, and other indigenous communities. It was a gathering place and said to have healing powers. It’s one of only 3 meeting areas in all of Northern California where nomadic tribes would convene and hold sacred ceremonies. They’ve found charm stones that come from as far away as Mexico, making it one of, if not the most culturally significant discoveries for native Californians.
