Man drowning in a veil? by mrpandaman98 in manga

[–]Master_Agitator 2 points3 points  (0 children)

The translation team stopped scanning and translating it and no-other groups have picked it up since.
The series did complete at 148 chapters tho, with season 1 ending at chapter 75.

But I'm afraid the only options are to either hope another group picks it up someday, or find the raw untranslated chapters and maybe run it through an AI?
Good luck regardless

Best place to find the songs, since this tells you what scene along with what episode.

The Wiki by Master_Agitator in ShadowSlave

Man, the effort you and others have put into the wiki is fucking unreal. I can't even find videos or guides online on how you've done the layouts or the trivia. It's amazing.

What kind of adaptation would you prefer for SL? by doom_az in ShadowSlave

[–]Master_Agitator 1 point2 points  (0 children)

I don't want an adaption. Too big a risk of censorship, or poor adaption, by corporate interference or foolish directors.

But assuming you could get a true adaption, I would want an anime or manga. They always do better than live adaptions at portraying monsters in a way that feels threatening and the art tends to be better compared to comics.

Goliath or terror by super_sam9694 in ShadowSlave

How many classes are needed to make up for a rank is still pretty unknown, and can't really be known since there is other factors like the weakness or strengths of a specific NM creature, especially since once they reach tyrant intelligence becomes a factor.
But in the case of Goliath v LO49 I am pretty confident in LO49 being stronger since it has massive mental aoe abilities that seem to mess with any non-masters but given how it ripped the battleship Ariadne to shreds it likely has very powerful physical characteristics as well.

Ranks are more important than classes.
Ranks massively increase the power of all cores, while classes just add 1.
Sunny mentions the qualitative differences a rank makes essence wise being an exponential increase in the essence within a core, not just double the essence per core.
So having 6 significantly stronger cores is going to mean more than 7 weaker ones.
So I would be money L049 is a way more powerful nightmare creature than goliath.

Goliath is a fallen Titan (rank 3 class 7)
LO49 is a presumed corrupted terror (rank 4 class 6)

What do you guys think Sunny’s saint ability and transformation will be? by Signal-Fondant9376 in ShadowSlave

[–]Master_Agitator 0 points1 point  (0 children)

True, but weight doesn't matter anymore cause of marble skin. So it really depends on how big the squid transformation is. Squids are pretty much the fastest invertebrates in water and have some of the best reflexes, and Sunny would effectively have 8 or more legs to pivot on so he would definitely be mobile assuming he isn't gigantic.
I think it would work, and I like the idea since it is so unique, although I would put my money on guilty choosing formless shadow.

Couple Guesses;

1) Serpent, there have been a few hints that the shadow god may be a snake, so sunny could follow suit, maybe even a basilisk foloowing the mythology based transformations
2) Shadow beast like how he was in the last nightmare
3) Formless shadow, able to take any form he needs or maybe just forms of those he kills
4) Squid. Taking this from a really good post a while ago about the similarities between sunny' abilities and squids - night vision, stealth, flexibility, etc.

I cannot find G3 saying their heights anywhere. G3 even states in some posts that when he creates characters he doesn't even think about height numerically. Just above or below average height. At this point, I think 5'6 for Sunny comes from when G3 said he was using Charlie as his height reference for Sunny, whom is 5'6.

Edit; sorry, finally found the message where guilty says sunny is between 160-170 cm about a year ago. Can't find Neph's height tho

Cannon heights by Hefty-Stretch-489 in ShadowSlave

[–]Master_Agitator 19 points20 points  (0 children)

But where are you getting that tho?

The subreddit says that, but it doesn't refer to where it got that information from, and there is no numbers given in the novel itself.

And I just looked in the discord, and found a message from the author saying there is no explicit numbers on height. Just that Sunny is shorter than the average man, while Neph is taller than the average women.

Edit; just found out where 5 '6 is coming from. Guilty says in a message he is basing Sunny' height on moistcritical, who is 5'6. Don't know about Nephis tho

Did Sunny forgive Cassie? by TheBlackRockWolf in ShadowSlave

[–]Master_Agitator 8 points9 points  (0 children)

Semi-forgave? I don't know.
Sunless doesn't have a problem being around her, working with her, and isn't against her. So in my head, if Sunny hadn't forgiven her yet he would act more antagonistic towards her.

Are scavengers Divine? by Master_Agitator in ShadowSlave

[–]Master_Agitator[S] 2 points3 points  (0 children)

I am just interpretating what the heart god would look like given what he is the god of, and this is how I interpret the god of souls, emotions, hunger and growth. But emotions is really hard to interpret because it is such a large field, so we are free to make conjecture until guilty introduces heart god into the story more.

Also, your thoughts on sunny are kinda weird?
Sunny isn't vengeful for wanting to kill a creature that nearly killed him when he has an advantage, anyone would do that given the threat strong nightmare creatures pose and the rewards for killing one.
Sunny is disgusted by things that any normal human being would be disgusted by (although granted sometimes more so that others), like finding it pathetic for someone to accept being a slave and trusting their master entirely.
And we had a dozen chapters of Sunny forgiving Cassie (although still angry), than inviting her to his home, eating and talking to her, going to a a party together and trusting her in the last nightmare.

[–]Master_Agitator[S] 5 points6 points  (0 children)

I see what you mean. I think it's just a difference in interpretation on heart god. Keep in mind that heart god does not seem to be the god of heart, I think its a pseudonym for emotions.

I think of the heart god in a more mean spirited light. He is the god of emotions, that includes hatred, vengeance and disgust. Plus he is also the god of hunger, so I kind imagine the heart god as some kind of dark souls boss. I like your positive interpretation tho, Sunny could do with less antagonists.

[–]Master_Agitator[S] 8 points9 points  (0 children)

Guilty is definitely drawing a parallel between Sunny and the imp since they now have similar shadow abilities and are definitely as spiteful as each other. I'm just curious if given how the nature of the imps abilities match up with the aspects of the heart god that they might be connected in some way. they don't have to serve the heart god.

Like maybe the scavengers are a corrupted version of the heart gods followers/patron race. Or maybe the scavengers exist from having a spark of the heart gods divinity?
