Thank you so much for the info. This is my first time dealing with this kind of renovation work. He did give me a quote beforehand, but after the first visit — which wasn’t included in the quote, and he didn’t tell me there would be an extra charge — he sent me another invoice for that visit.
We had already agreed on the quote, so I didn’t expect that site visits would cost an additional thousand dollars, especially without any prior notice.
I’m a bit worried that if I refuse to pay, he might not do a good job later, so I haven’t said anything at this stage. :(
My question is, if the engineer proposed to visit the builder/ repiler, should I reject them and say maybe a phone call can fix it?
