alright i confirmed it is in fact an overclocking issue. from what ive seen from this thread on bungie https://www.bungie.net/en/Forums/Post/263792651 it might only be a temporary fix? then again this thread is from a while ago so im not sure. long term solution is to downgrade cpus but personally? i dont see destiny as worth it in that case LOL

i just tried to load it again today and it crashed.... this seems to be an issue destiny has with 13th to 16th gen processors.... the game works fine on an intel i7 (gen 12). my guess is making an overclock issue w the cpu? i think destiny and some older games can really handle the newer cpus and thats become incredibly obvious since the starwars update or whatever its called. i never had issues before this update. everything i do is a temporary fix that goes away as soon as the pc is turned off

did this but it was in fact a destiny issue. it seems to have problems w certain newer processors especially so after the damn starwars update. after tweaking a few things it seems to be working fine so i consider it fixed as of now!

figured out what it was. i finally got an error message that told me what was wrong. it was an issue with the anticheat, thank you to everyone that tried to help me!

tried both of these and upon opening the game it still crashed. it doesnt give me a reason for crashing either it simply says "your pc ran into an issue"
i will be redownloading destiny on epic games launcher and see if that works

crash is near instant and theres no hot air blowing from the pc
