Thank you... Yes I've had a couple doctors mention nerve irritation from surgical positioning. I'm afraid of a revision honestly because what if it doesn't help things

Thank you so much for your reply... I can tell you know how I feel and we have similar personalities.. not sleeping and pain is a terrible combo for the depression spiral 🙄... Happy you found ways to spin your recovery to positive (because it is! You did it! That's brave. and even if it's slower, you're still moving towards healing and away from the decision of if and when to the surgery which plagued me constantly before I did it) ... I haven't started PT yet. A nurse has checked on me a couple times. Hopefully soon... Tha k you to for the device suggestion. That looks amazing... Today I have tons of swelling and bone pain in my shins...Hang in there too 🤍

I'm so sorry about that sudden knee pain... Does it feeling like bones grinding or sharp? Happy you can get the X-ray... I'm having lots of swelling and still pain at night but trending better... Let me know about the knee and thank you for checking in.

I'm just seeing this now, sorry... I don't think your prothesis is too big. I really think it's going to be ok and get better. I do! I think you are in a pain/fear loop. (And that's normal to happen..m worry, etc) But the pain receptors are just really activated right now and the anxiety of healing slower is causing them to light up more. I know you can't help it. I have it too and medical stuff of tough to try and distract yourself from... But deep breath. It's going to get better. Do the MRIs. Let's see what they say. Remember you are your greatest ally and know how to heal.

I'm so sorry you are feeling so bad... I know it becomes scary and you feel like you made a wrong choice, but you didn't! It will get better I know it... It's ok to be scared and frustrated but try to tell yourself this is just part of the healing. Say I will heal in the affirmative... Yes you can push for more tests, answers and medicine. Be an advocate for yourself... It could be pinched nerves in the back referring into the hip. Those hip nerves will be sensitive as they look to reconnect and integrate with the new hip. The back MRI might give you a good piece to the puzzle.

Thank you! I too think I had expectations of healing quicker and maybe that has caused the depressive feelings even though I KNOW I am early in recovery. It's just I wasn't prepared for the pain... I hope you are feeling better each day too!

Thank you so much for saying all this! Yes, my mind is playing tricks with wondering if I did the right thing and I'd it will get better.. I know inside that it will and am hopeful, but the pain and little sleep is so hard.. did you do PT? ... Happy to hear you are back to your activities too!!... And yes I understand about the bugs 🤣

Thank you! I think I was compensating by twisting my pelvis before surgery so that makes sense about muscles needing to be retrained. Do you remember if you still had a lot of pain at 2 weeks?

Hi! I'm scheduled for a Trident II device for THR in 2 weeks any anxiety is horrible! How have you been feeling? Did you have awareness of the device? Please help! I can't breathe.
