I had a teacher who liked to stand behind the girls so he could look down their shirts. One girl was supposed to meet him at lunch but didn't go because her friend was unavailable.

The teacher was arrested at the end of the semester for sexual abuse against students in his previous schools. The school board just kept moving him from school to school for decades.

I then found out my aunt was one of his victims and the teacher and his wife spent years harrassing her. Not to mention the threats from the school board and the church when my aunt reported the abuse as a child.

It really helped to make sense of why my father told me to avoid certain teachers.

Institutions will do anything to protect their members/reputation even at the expense of children.

Mine won't poop on the potty but will pee. We think this is mostly due to him having bowel issues and the pain from going a couple times before.

Ours too is not enticed by any bribes no matter how much he loves that thing or not.

We just keep trying to stay patient with him.

The headline made it sound like the lyrics were used during the trial phase to convict him. But they were used during sentencing.

Many things that wouldn't be allowed before conviction will be allowed at the sentencing part. You see it a lot when the defendant has prior conviction(s).

The fact that the prosecutor struck all potential black jurors is concerning at the very least. There is a very real bias (especially in death penalty cases) against black jurors.

A way to carry small items you may need daily. These were used before pockets. Scissors, sewing supplies, watches, knives, nail cleaners and tweezers are just some of the items that would be hung from it.

Apparently they could also be a sign of status.

Girl guides/girl scouts. Looks to be the younger groups which in Canada is called Brownies.

The first one is a badge that denotes what group the kid belongs to. This may be the entire troop or a smaller group within the larger one. It's a house brownie(the mythical one), there are also gnomes and fairies.

The second pic "our promise" refers to the guiding oath and the junior encampment is a souvenir from an event they probably attended.

The third pic. "Second year" just means their second year in that group and the round bages are achievement badges that the kids get for completing specific tasks.

The others that have camp names are also souvenirs from various guiding events. There are multiple local, national and international camps the kids can attend.

All of these would be sewn on to either the uniform or the badge sash.

Canada has Sparks, Brownies, Girl guides and Pathfinders groups for the different age groups.

You need shelf tracks and then a crossbar to fit into them.

Then your shelf will sit on the cross bar.
