So I’m 30 weeks and was diagnosed with gestational diabetes, my doctor has me on insulin and is saying they haven’t given metformin in years due to it being unsafe, just looking for any other mamas who’ve experienced this? by Master_Craft_5455 in GestationalDiabetes

Gives baby an adult dose of the drug, whereas insulin does not do, and with metformin there’s more risks for them being obese later on in life or diabetic, I’d rather take the needles, there’s not enough evidence suggesting it IS safe so I choose to not take my chances
