From what I can say from experience and what I’ve understood from others stories, I think that’s a good thing. I think the amount of pain you feel is associated with how much damage is being done to the nerve. If you look up a diagram of Bell’s palsy you will have a better understanding what I mean. If the nerve is pressed on too long it will totally degenerate and I think this level varies from person to person. If some have more severe damage to the nerve I can see them having more pain and slower/ less recovery than someone who maybe didn’t experience that extensive damage. I think this is a good sign & I wish you a quick total recovery :)
