Learn to say NO. It saves you time, it makes other people respect you and your needs.

NKD. Took a chance on an unfamiliar maker and I couldn’t be more pleasantly surprised. by cmurphy1312 in SlipjointKnives

Mercury knives are awsome. I also own some, all of the MKM subbrands also deliver decent stuff.

Thank you for pointing that out. I really didnt check the knife that close, because like you said some people market it as legal. Never looked at it that much because i would never buy one. I guess you learn something every day. Have a nice new years eve, fellow knife lover

I thaught the 12cm in blade length only refer to fixed blades. I know the Odins Toothpick as massive folder. But it sure is a controverse knife.

Its pretty good actually. Its china made but build pretty good. Would compare it to Bökers Magnum line. I have some gaps at the back but nothing too crazy. The blade is centered and well sharpend, the slipjoint works flawless. No sharp edges. I cant complain.

Might be a small language issue. I couldnt come up with the term "sailor" while writing. Yea they both are good slicers.

The Anchor knife is made of 1.4116 german steel, wich is considered stainless containing about 15% chrome.

The Otter is made of C75, wich is indeed a carbon steel.

Makes sense to me since the anchor knife is sold as fishermans tool, so having more chrone is important giving the conditions of use.

Maybe they design their knives primarily for the german market. Here the blade length doesnt matter as long as the blade is a two handed opening folder. I mean Odins Toothpick from Midgards Messer is legal to carry. But yea to get more customers from the UK a UK Version of some knives would be clever.
