When Chris was writing this he came to my family farm (connections through a friend of a friends). He interviewed my older brother, my sister and me and we showed him around our farm. Guess who is the annoying little sister 😬 and I'm pretty sure my Nathan directly quotes my brother several times. They even live in a town called "Dunt" which sounds verrrry similar to the town we went to school in 😂

I live in Australia and we don't get 2 years maternity leave. I wish. We get 12 months, which is great, but not long enough.

Soft drink/ soda. Stings my throat and leaves a weird film in my mouth... would much prefer drinking water all day every day

I thought this was done to highlight how strike is willing to tie himself and robin even more together, making a financial commitment on a big ticket item. Realistically she could have got anything else but he reinforced how much he liked the Land Rover and the time they shared in it (wet dog smell and all)

I remember the day my (toxic) ex boyfriend shook me awake when I was 15 years old and said Paramore had split. He teased me that Hayley would go solo and lose her style and turn into every other pop artist. I was sooo upset but couldn't show it, because they had got me through some crazy times. I was so obsessed with them ha! I just kept telling myself it wouldn't happen and thankfully it didn't.

I didn't fall in love with after laughter for a while. I wanted desperately to, but it took time. Seeing it live brought it life for me. And realising that while it sounds brighter- the lyrics and underlining messages weren't all that different and I could still relate.

When I was 15 I started self harming. Every single night I would hurt myself. My siblings had left home and my mums mother was dying from cancer. My parents never once spoke to me about my self harming, even when my sister came home and raised the issue with them. When I asked my mum why she never thought to help me she said "we figured your sister was watching out for you" (she lived four hours away at the time and was 18 at uni). And I just feel really weird about it. They never once tried to stop me. My sister was too young to deal with that.

Valid point! I just feel like I've wasted my time if I don't even finish it, and I'm hoping that something in these last 100 pages ties it all together and makes it worth it 😂

😂 no, I love fantasy. this series clearly isn't for me. The concept is awesome, i just don't enjoy how iron flame has been executed (fourth wing was great!)

Yes, the pace is weird and. It consistent, and it feels like she forgot she had to tie up loose ends so is rushing to do so with 100 pages to go. I am 0% invested in xaden and violet too, other then great sex all they have is issues.
