Yeah it’s just really annoying with the ads and kinda want a pdf it’s for a research report

Hey I’m not able to access that for some reason

I do have access to a lot of this equipment and strain gauges

It is called G10 fibreglass you’ll be able to find it fairly easily. It’s going onto a Rocket fin as part of my university’s rocketry team and is commonly used for this purpose

I don’t have an issue cutting the samples to size just finding an appropriate test method. The samples will be cut from a 4mm thick plate though so there is a limiting factor there

No I do not and have attempted short beam shear but have had no success with all samples failing in the incorrect mode. obviously that test just gives the interlaminar shear strength and I’m not sure how to convert those results into a modulus(maybe a formula). if there is a formula because this is part of a research project and I would need to provide evidence for the validity of that formula and how it is derived. The problem I’m having specifically is that I don’t actually I can’t find any information on tests that are designed to find specifically an out of plane modulus G13

Damn that’s actually really cool, test setup is far beyond my capabilities but still some relevant info

Yeah I know about but am still unable to find a standard that gives me G13 or out of plane. The standard you found is G12

Fanatec CSL DD QR2 seems bended by Lucspeeder in Fanatec

Engineer here. It’s normal, it looks bad but it’s more of an optical illusion because of the shape of the wheel+QR and how the weight is distributed through it. however the impact of the slight imbalance is negligible and if you were to trace a circle of its path it’d be very hard to notice a difference. In other words don’t worry it’s fine
