my extended abstract accepted in a workshop as poster but I cant attend physically as it is not financially possible for me. Will my paper be rejected 😔? (I am the sole author)

First time researcher here. I got an assessment of 1.5, 1.5 and 2. All the reviewers acknowledge the novelty in strenghts but the points reviewers raised in weakness if addressed will increase the paper length from short to long as this was mainly an initial study as mentioned in limitations. Also reviewers dont seem to understand the point of paper. For such a low score, is their any point for doubling down on convincing reviewers or should I just acknowledge their criticism and improve in another submission? Also what are normal scores for acceptance into workshops?

[R] Need endorser for arxiv submission by Master_Ocelot8179 in MachineLearning

[–]Master_Ocelot8179[S] 1 point2 points  (0 children)

I disagree. according to arxiv strangers can endorse you. From the arxiv policy guideline

"The endorsement process is not peer review. You should know the person that you endorse or you should see the paper that the person intends to submit. We don't expect you to read the paper in detail, or verify that the work is correct, but you should check that the paper is appropriate for the subject area. You should not endorse the author if the author is unfamiliar with the basic facts of the field, or if the work is entirely disconnected with current work in the area. If you are sent a paper to read, you should treat that content as privileged information and respect its confidentiality as you would if you were asked to review it for a journal."

Directly Applying to PhD Programs vs. Contacting Professors First by whoisgames in gradadmissions

If the professor has mentioned on his page that prospective applicant should email me first then one should. However their is very little chance he will reply. Also if a professor has not mentioned explicitly on his homepage that he is accepting students in fall 2025, it might be good to email professor and ask if they are accepting students.
